Not a card purchase but a preface to card purchases! Setting up my EX era binder, I’ve mentioned it on the Hoenn hoes thread but my long term goal is to fill this with all the holos, EXs, secret rares, Gold Stars (probably only 1-3 due to $$ constraints) and a smattering of reverse holos from each set. Logos for the front, logos & set symbols to mark set transitions in dummy card slots within the binder. I did this with E-Card era too and love how it looks.

So ive had the latias counterpart forever and figured if i ever saw the latios id grab it. That was what, a year ago? Maybe two? Well just happened to find one in my lcs bulk bin and i paid like 2 USD for him. Pretty excited the pair is together. Anyway cacturne arrived as well, this week is gonna be loaded with updates!
We have less than 45 cards to go to finish my complete prerelease promo set. Then its just going to be maintaining it and grabbing the staffs when i see them. I have also begun my legendary collection journey so stay tuned for that one folks. Two cards for that are on their way!

So I’ve been a little MIA but for good reason…I actually just got married!! My most recent purchase was actually two Cartier love wedding bands but after some chit chat I found out that my sales rep is also into Pokemon 
Upon picking up my engraved rings a few days later she presented me with this lovely jumbo promo of Captain Pikachu and said it was an extra copy and that she wanted us to have it 
This one small gesture definitely ensured my loyalty to my sales rep as I have always wanted this card! I’ll post a better pic of the card later on my IG!

HGSS is a great era. Very underloved. The lati@s cards looked way better as colorless types before the mustard yellow dragon cards

Haha ya the forum definitely is definitely a nice place and filled with good people.
As for the card, a lot of people don’t know of it. Just those who really know their Japanese promos, jumbo cards, or Japanese exclusives. I feel this card would have done so much better if it was a normal sized promo card.
