Big acquisition today fellas! 2024 is a year of refocusing my collection based on current market conditions. Years ago this card was not in the realm of possibilities for me. Years from now, who knows, maybe the same thing.
Very fortunate to have been ready to go when this popped up on eBay. The last couple that have been for sale have (imo) not been quite clean enough to pull the trigger on so I didn’t know what to think for comps. Luckily the seller was more than reasonable on price imo so it all worked out.
Until they put wailmer on a trophy, this is probably the most I’ll spend on a slab.

Thank you! Yeah a fair 9 is all I wanted. Maybe I got a decent price because the stamp isn’t thiccccc but I don’t really care about that.
Though my OCD will probably force me to make sure blastoise and venusuar are thin too

Edges can be bad on weak 9s too. Seen some iffy ones in the last year. Either way it’s not a card I can do my usual strategy of buying raw and grading till I get what I want.
I haven’t found any 9 worthy raws ever. It’s getting that way with gold stars too, nearly impossible to find. The lesser base holos still have the occasional raw gem out there though.

yeah that card has tempted me for some time. but there are staff, top 32 top 16 and so on (i think), quite a lot of them
