I thought these COLLECTOR stamps were fraudulent?
It is a card commissioned by collectors. This was for the 2019 Hartford Regional Collectors event hosted by many E4 members but open to anyone.
It symbolizes E4 in a way.
It is a fun piece of the collecting history. And definitely should not be worth what I paid lol
Here are some links
I’ve been wanting to purchase these for a while and finally was able to buy both recently. It’s great to add to my Base Set PSA 8 collection.
Wish i had been able to make it. I was about an hour away that weekend but didnt want to drive. ![]()
picked up some shiny vault for my shining fates master set from TridentCards ebay store first time using them.
centering wasn’t great on some of them: the ditto’s face says it all he’s still my favourite little blob
Charizard, Skyla and some reverses and a yappy dog to complete the set.
I love mint exs under $100 https://www.ebay.com/itm/235464726550
These cards (to me) have hints of early ‘Pocket Monster’ concepts which is why I like them so much e.g. Squirtle’s eyes and Charmander’s back spike. I also believe they belong in a binder which is where they will remain.
Shh you’re not supposed to tell people.
You are supposed to open 500$ packs for those
Didn’t plan on buying anything today, but ended up with this modest little meme pick up:
Not a bad PSA 1 copy really!
Found a good deal on this beautiful stamped bagon so i just went for it. Two down one more stamped one to go and the regular.
Where did you buy that Shining Magikarp from? I sold one with that cert number and looking at the holo pattern of the card I sold and yours, they look different. Not sure if I’m losing my mind or what? Here’s a picture from my sold listing:
These types of holo patterns can look quite different when pictures are taken at different angles. The card has the same damage/whitening on the front and back so I’d say definitely the same card.
Very cool to see a card I sold posted on the forum
After seeing the Ebay sticker and the damage in the corner I see what you mean. Thanks @A.P.Speeze and love the pickups @ROCK974 !!
I think it is in terms of pure set construction, numbering etc. That said, only collect Pokemon, Yugioh, and these select One Piece cards so I can’t speak for all of the CCGs out there.
Yugioh can have multiple rarities per card but with the same number so you have to know what is happening in the set already. And then there is that One Piece nonsense I already mentioned. I assume it is because a card is printed with the same effect/stats but with different art so they just use the same set code even if it was released much later in a different product. I mean, I get the logic but it’s still unnecessary when a separate set code will do. It would be like Pokemon releasing a shiny version of a card in a ‘Fates’ set but letting it keep the same set code as the original version from a random booster set from 18 months ago.
The only thing that bugs me about Pokemon set construction is the moment they organised a set by type rather than simple, descending rarity.
