Thank you, Brendan! I’m working on that collection update right now but I was just too darn excited to wait to share it haha. I always appreciate the kind words!
YAY I’m excited as hell to see it and make sure that story is as long as possible
I only collect Team Rocket 1st Ed PSA 9 but made an excemption with this one. Ideally hold onto it til get ‘the bosses way’ psa 9 signed
I did some online candyshopping and i stumbled upon this; not really something I collect but it looked fun! It is bubblegum with collectable stickers? I believe there is also a album where you could put them in but not sure!
Hey guys, just won this auction
Is it just me or does the holo pattern not match with the psa cert? I mean its most likely lightning but just making sure here if the mew is legit
I think it’s just the lighting. The centering looks to match, and one of the smaller orbs directly to the right of Mew’s foot looks to match on both pictures. The font spacing on the label seems to match in both pictures too.
I don’t know about an album but would love to see it if it exists! These are wicked cool! They’re called Corris Pokemon Sticker Book Gum! It’s a type of soda gum.
I remember I bought a CGC 8.5 of this once. Then traded it. It ended up crossing to a PSA 10 after I traded it. FML.

Congratulations seaside, such an amazing card! So happy for you!
They have an album for the bubblegum? (Im joking, thats really neat!
This turned up today: another Nami alt art lol. This one was surprisingly cheap for what it is and I believe it comes from a deck. Couldn’t find the English copy very easily in the UK so had to order this from France. Very cheap though.
Another issue I have with English One Piece is the poor documentation of each set, even at this early-ish stage in the game. It’s not like Pokemon or Yugioh where definitive set lists and galleries are easy to find without any digging.
The fact that a card like this can come out with different art, in a different product but the same set code (OP01) as the original variant from the very first booster set is also just too confusing. I mean, there are multiple different OP01-016 Namis now so searching for specific cards by code is almost useless.
Been eyeing this prize card for a while now so amazing to finally own one! Glad I was able to grab a copy before prices went up.
Also a huge thank you to @eeveeteam for his incredible middleman service!
Thanks @qwachansey
Pre-Pokemon Game Freak History. The Left is the 1986 Time Gal Doujinshi written by Satoshi Tajiri and illustrated by Ken Sugimori. The Right is the Game Freak Published Xevious “How to score 10 Million Points” guidebook.
Tajiri’s own mother and sister helped assemble, pack and ship these books from their home, while he was still attending school.
You can learn more about these releases in Tajiri’s own words in this 2004 interview on youtube, thanks to @prochaos for archiving this video!
Images of any of these guides are scarce online, with a handful of sales of any issue within the last 10 years (as far as @vyzhr and I dug back)
In 1984 Game Freak announced they had released 400 issues to subscribers (as of the writing of #6) with the Xevious having 10,000 copies sold. Tajiri credits Xevious with being the turning point in his life.
Great purchase, I absolutely love the art of this card. One of the best Art Academys in my opinion! Congratulations on the addition
