I had a bit of a scramble to try and get all my cards from around the world into the US before de minimis ended…unfortunately I only managed to get in about 75% of my European cards and none of my Portuguese and Korean cards. The rest will be consolidated into one place eventually and sent when the tariff situation stabilizes in some way…
75% of my European cards still wound up being something like 200 cards…these four would be the highlights of the lot, in my opinion.
The Play Stamp Blaziken VMAX is getting quite expensive now. I still need it in basically every other language it’s available in, but I’m glad to check the English copy off my list.
The German winner stamp (SIEGER) Combusken and Grovyle are a relief to have obtained. For those who haven’t seen it, I’m down a rabbit hole trying to collect all of these. The French trio, German Marshtomp, and Italian Grovyle are purchased but unfortunately did not escape Europe in time. I still know nothing about (not even an IMAGE) of Italian Combusken and Marshtomp.
The slab is likely a Top 5 rarest Torchic card. For those who don’t know about these, people estimate that there’s a few hundred of these out there in French, German, and Italian at most. They were trophy cards in the early EX era and cost an absolutely ridiculous amount of money. As a binder collector, I’ll be cracking this slab after a few days of admiring it…look at that swirl! I have a lead on the French copy but no leads on the German (or the Korean from the ADV deck for that matter).
I’ll be updating my wantlist tomorrow if anyone thinks they can help me fill in the few remaining gaps in my global Torchic master set or find some of the really hard Combusken/Blaziken cards out there (finding all the difficult grown up chickens before I try and start a master set of either).
