Last post for me for a little while: Managed to nab a tropical island? rainbow island? solid PSA 8-9, and a Tony Gwynn first year HOF 1984 Fleer, for decent deals!
I remember meeting Tony as a kid at Jack Murphy Stadium with my dad several years after this. I’m pretty sure this IS Jack Murphy in the background, which was recently demolished for the new Snapdragon stadium back in San Diego…

Lol yeah it is. Honestly i dont know. Things i still want to achieve are somehow getting a full psa 10 set of this. Ive got grading to do but im not sending anything to psa til total normal service resumes which will be next year hopefully. Ive got a 4th moltres on the way which completes my 4th set. Im also just another moltres away from a 5th set. I might cgc some again in the meantime. To me something has to be a challenge to be fun but like everything things change and we move to something else. In the end id love to get a full psa 10 set and definitely keep an ungraded or psa 9 set incase i ever sell the main set that way i get to have my memories of this challenge i set myself always with me. The rest ill probably sell and start another equally fun project. Right now im still enjoying it. I still have goals i want to achieve. Things that excited me at the beginning like finding a played raw common dont quite have the same zap but still plenty does like finding that really good condition gengar has taken me ages super happy with that.

What is the lowest PSA10-pop among all the ©1999-2000 Fossil cards including Commons/Uncommons? Since they’re non-holo, I assume none is pop-0?

@joponnes and I talk regularly and he knows ive got one for him and will swap a muk for any other one of the rares except raichu because you cant tell in pics if its a true 3rd print or not.
As for the pops now thats really interesting. Technically my aerodactyl, ditto, muk and some of my uncommons and commons 10s are pop 1s. Several of the rares are technically pop 0s at psa 10 along with a few commons and uncommons. However thats only because they have the correct labels. My other psa 10 aerodactyl is in an older case and so not labelled as 1999-2000. I used to keep rough records of all subs that ive come across in older cases to give me an idea of what might be out there to find and what may well not actually exist etc. The only person i know with all psa 10 rares had to grade half the cards himself for a reason they are super hard to find 10s of mostly because so few have actually been graded that or anything. I havent updated my list since my latest buys and a sub that went on psa a lil while ago that added one more psa 10 amongst others including a decent amount of lower grades but before my muk was graded a 10 the lowest pop of any of the rares that ive ever come across was muk in a psa 10 which is now a pop 2 with the new addition of mine and without checking i think the highest was a pop 7 or 8 ill check it all in a bit. It makes total sense to me why my friend had to grade certain cards himself including muk because either there isnt a 10 or its already in a set noone knows about or it doesnt exist at all. 10s for these in general are incredibly rare with some being harder than others just like base set 1999-2000 holos in psa 10.
