Picked up some unlimited Gym Heroes/Chalkenge holos for my set binder! Also picked up some cards for my “fun” binder. Whenever I go to physical card shops and I see cards I like, I add them to my “fun” binder! Pretty neat Lgs pickup today.

That looks so damn cool! Hopefully the aftermarket price wasn’t brutal, but as someone who has spent a lot of time/money collecting anime figures over the years, I know all too well about how a figure can come out for $150 and then be $500 in the secondary market 2-3 years later

My most recent purchase wasn’t a card, but an Epson v600 scanner so that I can take really high quality scans of all my cards in my collection and update my registry with them. Been messing around with it for the last couple days and man, it’s like night and day compared to taking a pic with my phone camera (which is what I’d been doing). The colors pop way more, no shadow over the card, etc. Only annoyance has been not noticing specks of dust on the scanner/case and then seeing it in the scan and needing to re-do it (sometimes multiple times) until I finally get rid of it

Is there a reason to not just buy direct? It’s only $350 on their website and appears to be in stock: www.framewars.com/product-page/mecha-venusaur-collectible-figurine.
Seems a bit shady though - expected release was late 2019, then late 2020 and now we’re approaching late 2021 and it still has it listed as “Prototype under development and pending final approval”. Unless their website is just out of date it feels like this still hasn’t been released yet. All of those eBay listings you mention just use the image from the website, too. I hope you’re not getting scammed.
Shipping on their website is $145 for 50-95 day, $322 for 14-20 day, and $345 for 5-7 day.
Bought VS Series Bruno’s Steelix, Ursaring, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop all this week to start the Japanese half of my Yuka Morii collection, just need to track down Machamp at a decent price. All the ones on eBay are expensive as hell for a non-holo (I paid $10 less for Steelix…) and all in worse condition than the other cards I bought.

Shame, it looks incredible… I get why something like that would hit those kinds of price levels though.
Another addition to my Base 2 Holo collection this week:
Very impressed with the centering on this one and it’s got a little ‘swirl’ in the bottom left of the holo which is cool. I also managed to snag him well under PSA average pricing and previous sold on eBay. VERY hard to find this one in a PSA 10, so I went with the 9 for now and it’s a really solid value play for me. I love finding a strong 9 at a good price.
