I’m unsure of an accurate price range for this, but this would be my most valuable according to what I paid for it.
I paid $300 USD about 3 months ago, and prices seem to be rising, but with a lack of sales it’s hard to actually gage a decent estimate!
It’s nothing special and not even graded or in a condition to get anything near a PSA9, but this green beast really on top of my list based on what I paid for it/what it’s worth.

Only two copies of the Matchprint Pikachu exist in the entire world, so it’s not only my most expensive card [1,000 USD] (I don’t have the SNAP Photo Contest nor Solid Gold Base Pikachus yet), but it’s also one of the rarest, perhaps even the rarest, Pikachu cards that exist in terms of numbers available.
Two other ones I paid 950 and 775 USD for respectively (Pokémon with YOU Wagon promo and Event Organizer stamped 175/XY-P Promo), which both unfortunately dropped to around 200-300 USD:
And an honorable mention is this full set (I paid 40 euros for the signatures, but I’m pretty sure the full set with all seven languages will only increase in value from this point onward, and is almost certainly one of a kind):

I always loved the artwork for this card, and sadly it’s one card from my childhood collection that I don’t have. There’s definitely something about his stance and stature though

Agree. It’s all about luck sometimes. I personally got lucky. I believe I bought the last recorded sale before it had that huge jump in price due to the PWCC auction that spiked the Price on venusaur 1st edition . Price since has gone down from what I’ve heard but can’t confirm and I’m not to certain where it stands at this moment. It’s such a gray water card and we really won’t know until another public sale happens. Someone has it listed for 3k on eBay but it’s not worth that price, or at least I don’t believe it is. The psa 10 shadowless blastoise has rocketed up in price due to low pop and I think it’s reach near the same price as 1st edition blastoise recently. The pop on this card is less than its 1st edition counterpart. So maybe we shall see similar events happen in the future if the pop remains low which most likely will be.

What is the highest known sale price for one card? I know Scott sold a PSA 10 Illustrator which most of us will never know the actual number, but other than that is there any confirmed sale higher than the Pristine Zard at $55k?

Fair enough. It was private and we’ll never know the price, which I’m pretty sure it would be the most expensive yet. I’m genuinely curious about other deals some of you might be aware of or yahoo japan sales I don’t keep track of.
