What would your Dream Pokémon Movie be?

Be as specific or vague as you want! I’m curious what people’s ideas are.

Is it Live Action or Animated? Does it feature trainers we know well or characters we’ve never seen before? Would it be an adaptation of a game?

Make it live, Jumanji in ‘onesies’.

I’d love a movie about a gym leader of a small town who was being challenged by the leader of team rocket, then he loses the pokemon battle and they end up taking over the town. But then, even more, in an attempt to train harder to take down team rocket, he kills his own pokemon because he worked it too hard. Then he goes to prison for a while because of that and we he comes out, team rocket has taken over the entire region and he becomes a recluse, drinking way to many super potions if you catch my meaning.

A Pikachu finds him in the woods and, seeing that he has food, attempts to befriend him. The gym leader of course wants nothing to do with him and tosses him aside. The Pikachu gives him a good thunder shock and knocks him out, and the Pikachu takes his food.

Soon after the gym leader is walking the town and sees a growlithe, owned by a team rocket thug, using bite against that same Pikachu in the alley way. The gym leader tells him to cut it out and the growlithe starts to use flamethrower toward him. The gym leader runs, but the distraction allows the Pikachu to escape as well.

The Pikachu once again finds the gym leader in the woods and slowly approaches, this time with some poke food in hand. The gym leader understands what the Pikachu is trying to do, but tells him that he can’t eat Pokemon food, but he’s welcome to stay if he likes.

The gym leader ends up talking to the Pikachu and telling him that he was an old gym leader. The Pikachu gets excited and motions that they could train together to take down team rocket. The gym leader denies and says that he won’t go back into battling Pokemon. The Pikachu understands and nestles himself next to the gym leader.

The Pikachu wakes to find the gym leader is gone. Just within eye sight the Pikachu sees him walking and runs toward him. The gym leader of course tells him to get away and to bother someone else and says “don’t you have a master or something?” Then the Pikachu says no and motions that he did once, but team rocket used his master as bait for a scheme of theirs and the Pikachu ended up having to thunderbolt his master (who was strapped to dynamite) to destroy powerplant that the rocket base was located in.

The gym leader agrees that the Pikachu can tag along but he better not be a nuisance.

The gym leader is walking in the streets again and is stopped by team rocket because you’re not allowed to open pokemon carry in the town. The gym leader pleads and says that the Pokemon isn’t even his, but the grunt doesn’t listen and begins to arrest him. The gym leader punches the grunt in the face and runs away.

They steer clear of the authorities for a while, and eventually find themselves in yet another alley way, and who does he find? One of his former gym trainers and their daughter. They have been living off the streets a little after team rocket took over, but they have a decent shack in the woods that keeps them grateful and appreciative of the life they have. The old gym trainer invites them to their house to a dinner.

When they get to the house it’s revealed that TR killed his wife because he wouldn’t give up his Pokemon. He challenged them to a battle for her life and the life of his Pokemon and he lost. So they took the Pokemon and killed her.

The trainer suggests that the leader could do something about it, and that the Pikachu looks strong-willed enough, but the leader denies even still.

The next day the trainer, his daughter, the leader, and the Pikachu are roaming the city once more and are stopped by a grunt. It’s the same grunt from before. The grunt then attempts to take the Pikachu, but the daughter runs to grab him. In the scuffle the grunt shoots the daughter, runs away, and she ends up dying in the arms of her father. The gym leader and the Pikachu apologize profusely and turn and run back into the woods.

The duo end up back at their first site, the leader is weeping into his arms and the Pikachu is trying to console him. The scene reminds him of when he accidentally killed his pokemon from before. This motivates him to wipe his tears, stand up, and start training with Pikachu.

The duo train, and train hard. The leader is a bit surprised at the strength of Pikachu, but sees that he still has a lot of work to do if they’re going to be able to take down team rocket. But they continue training and working hard.

During their training, they plan their attack on team rocket, gather intel, and put together all the logistics needed for the up and coming event.

The day comes and the duo begin their plan, they use their tricks and deceit to enter the rocket headquarters and sneak their way up to the penthouse.

They enter the space and the leader turns around in his chair. It’s the same leader who challenged him for his town so long ago.

The epic battle begins. 1 Pikachu vs a full arsenal of Pokemon. The first ones are relatively easy, but the battle soon began to settle in.

Super potions, hyper potions, antidotes, and many other mixtures were used. The Pikachu continued to fight hard and fight well…until the final Pokemon…Charizard.

This Charizard was angry, and bigger than other Charizards, and was seasoned in battle from a ruthless trainer. The Pikachu dodged and attacked and dodged and attacked, but for every small blow the Pikachu landed, the Charizard landed one that felt 3x as hard.

The battle lasted a long time, and the end was finally here. The Pikachu was exhausted and the Charizard was not without energy too.

The team rocket leader then tells the Charizard to do a Fire Blast. The gym leader sees the Pikachu, barely able to stand, yet pushing even still. If the blast hits the Pikachu, it would surely die.

Suddenly, gym leader thrusts himself between the blast and takes the full force of the fire. The Pikachu watches as his friend’s silhouette is engulfed by flames. The blast ends and the gym leader falls to his knees in front of him.

The Pikachu runs into his arms, but the gym leader was already gone. The team rocket leader mocks the gym leader as a fool and the Pikachu turns toward the Charizard. He is commanded to do another Fire Blast and the Pikachu releases a Thunder attack. The moves meet and the Thunder begins to prevail. As the electricity gets closer to the mouth of the Charizard, the penthouse erupts with an electric explosion. The Pikachu is sent flying, and the Charizard and the team rocket leader are both killed as they are sent out of the penthouse and onto the ground below.

The Pikachu awakes and finds himself at the top of a building that is about to crumble. He hurries down the building and manages to escape the destruction. The Pikachu goes to the only place he knows.

The door of the shack in the woods opens and the gym trainer invites Pikachu in.

Roll credits.

The plot of Pokemon Reborn.. Seems like a pokemon movie not for kids…

I could argue that it could be for kids lol

I would love a movie about Ho-Oh. We have one about the Legendary Birds, about Lugia (x2), Legendary Beasts, Jirachi, Celebi, Rayquaza and Deoxys, Latias and Latios, Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina, Arceus, Zorua and Zoroark, etc., etc. etc. but not Ho-Oh. Even in movies like Pokemon I Choose You, Ho-Oh’s interactions are minimal.

Show us the burning of Brass Tower 150 years ago and the resurrection of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune!

Ash reunites with his Primeape who is now level 99 and they mog the entire Pokemon universe. Movie ends with Primeape evolving into Annihilape (personally not a fan of this but the crowds need an exciting anime transformation) and one shotting Arceus.

Live action but in the style of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? or Space Jam, where the pokemon are 2d animated.
