Yeah I Only Know 25th, smh. (No stuff Like Lgendary Collection Or Bs2.)
Team Rocket Returns was sort of a remake of Team Rocket, with cards like Rocket’s Zapdos, Moltres, Snorlax, Hitmonchan and Scyther returning in ex-form, among others. Of course, they added a lot of things like the legendary beasts and Gold Stars, but the general theme is the same as the original Team Rocket expansion.
HGSS sets were essentially Neo-Eseries again, though without any of the cool gimmicks. Double Crisis is a fairly strong remake of TMTA with more set cohesion in that all the cards feature TMTA with no fluff. Similar to HGSS sets is 151 which does all original 151 pokemon. Not a direct remake, but it is a rehash of a particular era.
How can you chat about Base Set remakes without mentioning XY Evolutions!

Evolutions (Japanese: Concept Pack 6 - Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary) is a set released in 2016 to celebrate the game’s 20th anniversary. It’s a set which includes a whole bunch of reprints from Base Set with type and numbers (attacks, HP, etc.) adjusted to be (at the time) Standard-compatible, but also comes with some Pokémon EX which are printed in Base Set-style card layout.
I grew fond of this set so much that I broke many Japanese CP6 boxes at the time of release, and eventually became one of the few to complete the Japanese set in PSA 10:

And now I’m working on the set in Korean:
Off the top of my head, this is what I get. Base 2, Legendary, XY Team Rocket Returns(Rocket gang returns) Xy Evolution (cP6), celebrations, 151, and Classic Collection.
I guess VS series is also similar to Gym with the trainer’s Pokémon. Like for example Lt. Surge’s Raichu being in both VS and Gym.
Not sure if these count but platinum had original scyther, hitmonchan and electabuzz arts as secret rare cards in the set. Also best of game promo set had several variants including jumbos of base set electabuzz + hitmonchan and rocket’s hitmonchan + rocket’s mewtwo from gym sets
What is that one set where they remade the Charizard?
Stormfront
EX FireRed & LeafGreen isn’t a remake set, but has some strong callbacks to the original era with the starter exs, Mr. Mime ex and trainers like Prog Oak’s research and Bill’s Maintenance for example.
Love that card!
Alright, so i created this thread, because im interested in making a Format thats kind of like Base-Gym (Maybe Neo) Updated, and i was trying to figure out what cards i should allow, or maybe i could make all 251 Pokemon legal :// idk
It contained some reprint cards from Neo and later sets. Still not really what you want, but its similar i guess haha
