But yes. I’ve learned A LOT from collecting Pikachu over the years. Mostly about a lot of obscure foreign releases.

This took a lot of spontaneous opportunity, luck, and saving up for to get but really proud of this purchase and for having it in my collection. I feel like the deeper I’m diving into things in collecting, the narrower my list gets and wanting only the rarest grails I can afford. We’ll see how these collection goals change over the years to come.

My pop 38 PSA 10 Unown J. This was a relief to get because of the low pop and was exciting to get from a fellow member here. I have some distinct memories I am fond of from owning this card as a kid and it makes me happy to have it in a 10 for my set!

Not as big / expensive as other people’s but really special for me. Spanish ones are the 3 of them pop 1 no other ones signed/graded except for the zards that there are other 3 (signed by me )

They are my grail cards because I do not own them. But in an ideal world, I would love to own these some day to accompany my Mysterious Pearl.

I agree with this. I feel like some of my cards were once grails, but once I obtain them, I move on to other collection goals and new grails. Some of my grails are nothing compared to what some people have achieved, too.
With that said, I would feel a bit empty if I didn’t have 1st edition base set Charizard/Blastoise/Venusaur in my collection. Would love to get a University Magikarp and the TMB Phone Birds though.

Sparkle grimer and tekno variants of both also have the grail status for me but this one naturally takes the cake. I also have a grail card for all my other main collections. For slime army tcg collection it’s my 3rd print fossil muk. The status also could have belonged to L2 unlimited reverse holos but i got them relatively easily which i’m still surprised about.
For my wotc collection there could be few of them for various reasons like skyridge gengar, E3 red cheak pikachu or prerelease clefable but still i’ve always feeled that this is the card that deserves the status. I’ve said it a lot of times that i’m not that fond of charizard anymore but something about being the chase card of last wotc set does it for me.
With my topps collection the grail status definitely belongs to johto series 1 holograms so it’s 9 grails instead of one. They were on whole different level on difficulty to find so cards like first appearance lugia was nothing compared to it. It is and always will be in my top 3 binder pages with grimer and muk topps pages so a massive grail for me.
And last of my main collections, Tomokazu Komiya collection, it had to be one of the two gorgeous psyduck cards. I think i like this one a tiny bit more than Munch psyduck, perhaps because of that almighty holo pattern.
