My grail card is beyond attainability for me in any reasonable version of reality.
TL;DR: It’s too expensive.

If you got a psa 2-3 it may be more affordable if there is one out there at that grade 
could be 30-40k affordable

The munch pikachu is my grail.
In my opinon, the munch promos cards have the best artwork in the hobby handsdown.

A collector from Belgium. Near the start of 2017 I surpassed justinator, but somewhere mid-2018 Tom surpassed me. From official releases we have about a similar amount. He has some cards I’m missing (like the German/Spanish Surfing/Flying Pikachu) and I have some he’s missing (some of the Art Academy cards). But he has a lot more misprinted and autographed cards than me. And he also still continues collecting everything, whereas I stopped with all languages from February 21st, 2021 (25th Pokémon Day) onward, after which I only collect English Pikachu, and one of each non-English artwork. Right now I am closing in on 1750 unique Pikachu TCG cards, and he’s probably at 1900+ if I had to make an educated guess.

I had that feeling when I got another card in my collection but then I got my Charizard and for some reason that card just changed it for me , when I look at it now I’m like … “I actually own this ?? Wtf ??? lol “

there aren’t really any “grail cards” i want necessarily, but early on in my return to the hobby, there were a few that i wanted badly and was happy to finally own.
i’ve owned and ended up selling a few other “big” cards that at the time i was excited about, but came to figure out weren’t too important to me like shining rayquaza and crystal celebi
