What else do you collect besides Pokémon?

My parents collected action figures so I grew up surrounded by collectibles. As a result, I’ve always liked to collect anything around my favorite IPs. Over the years I feel like I’ve narrowed down a lot of what I like to specific series of figures or items so I’m not overwhelmed. This is what I currently have on display, although I have some other things still put away due to size/space.

Resident Evil is probably my favorite video game franchise ever. I played the first game back when it released although I was only 7 at the time. Most of the figures here are from the line created by the company Moby Dick, with some Palisades sprinkled in. There’s also a cameo appearance in there :stuck_out_tongue:

The Nemesis Type 3 is a BAF put together though purchasing almost all of the Moby Dick figures. It’s definitely one of my favorite grail items and what I have here I put together myself. I am still missing a couple of the ribs and I haven’t put any of the ribs that I already have into the figure because I’m afraid of them breaking due to being so small and fragile. I still plan on finding the ones I need so that I have all the parts but each figure is pretty expensive especially when the BAF part is still included.

In addition I have also purchased all the Kickstarter editions of all three currently released Resident Evil Board Games with all the bells and whistles. I haven’t opened anything up yet to play, and I’m not sure I actually will but I need to someday figure out how to display all of these at the very least. The RE4 Board Game is coming soon too and my closet can only hold so much :stuck_out_tongue: I didn’t take a picture but I also have a small collection of Resident Evil Books, comics, and manga.

I love Disneyland but more specifically I love the attractions so I have built this small collection around Tsum Tsum, Wishables, and Kingdom of Cute figures based off of things you’d find inside of Disneyland Park.

Next up is my Jurassic World dinosaur collection. This is what I could get to fit on this bookcase but I also have a collection of the Super Colossal dinosaurs that I keep sealed due to the size of the figures. Once I permanently attach those tails onto the bodies I’m in trouble. I also have the Dreadnaughtous figure but it currently guards the living room.

Blizzard figures! I’m currently looking forward to the new line being created by McFarlane for WoW and D4.

Finally, these are just smaller collections of some of my favorite action figures. For Digimon, I am in the process of building the Machinedramon model to put in with these guys. I can’t wait to see him completed in person. In Star Wars I’m mostly a fan of the prequel trilogy and will be adding in the upcoming Black Series droids that have been announced.

Does my Tallneck still fit in with my LEGO collection or should I put it with my Epic sized collection of legendary Pokemon figures?

I don’t know what CZX is but that Mckellan auto is absolutely beautiful.

It’s beautiful isn’t it! Now one of my favourite cards in my collection :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I believe it’s currently pop 1! My understanding is a “CZX” set is cryptozoic’s premium release sets. They have done them for DC super heroes and outlander as well I believe.

Many things, one of which are little plastic space soldiers

How did you learn to restore the bikes ?

I collect a few little bits besides Pokémon, but the main one is dinosaur fossils.

My theropod tooth collection is a big one to me.

Here are some of my favourites:

Lots of research and ebay hunting. A groupset is quite similar to collecting mini pokemon sets. U make a list if all the components and just tick it off.

I used to collect movie posters and Mondo Art Prints, but it got super expensive and hard to display due to the size of everything and lack of wall space. Still have a ton that I should try and sell, but I haven’t found time to sort through everything.

I’m a big history dude so I love learning about different cultures and events and then hunting artifacts.

Here is a Panzer IV/Stug 3 tank track from the battle of Narva.

If you have listened to Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History in several of his series he talks about how ferocious the steppe people of asia where like the Scythians. Here is a Scythian period bronze arrowhead.

And then aside from historical items I’m pretty eclectic. As far as gaming goes I collect World of Warcraft items like distributor boxes of the different expansions, any sealed games from the first 3 expansions, as well as server blades.

Oh yea forgot to add I’m a big collector of N64 games/consoles/accessories!

Outside of Pokemon, the main thing I collect is soccer cards, my favourite cards in my soccer collection are this Lionel Messi from 2017 Panini Select and this Roy Keane rookie card from 1990-91 Pro Set (Roy Keane was my favourite player growing up)

Comics from Predator series. As a kid the 1987 Predator movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger had quite a lasting impact on me. I believe that Predator, Alien and The Thing make up the holy Trinity of movie monsters. I really got deep into the lore of the Predator world and comics are a great way to get into it. My only criteria for collecting these is never to buy anything new. If I happen to visit any comic conventions I try to pick up a few cheap copies.

Cheers!

Thanks!

Luckily there aren’t too many replicas/fakes on the market, and Frankensteined “restored” fossils are usually easy to spot when you know the signs.

Otherwise it’s a case of doing a lot of learning how to ID stuff correctly, since a lot of sellers can mislead or just plain guess at what they’re selling. With teeth, you need to know where exactly it came from, all the features on the tooth, close-ups of serrations, shapes & dimensions etc - and then it can still be an educated guess, depending on what dinosaurs were alive in the same environments.

It’s a hardcore nerd hobby, but there’s nothing quite like holding a genuine T. Rex tooth with your bare hands!

Pokémon is my second thing, first is gaming. Besides those two, I have a very small vinyl/CD collection that I haven’t added much too.

The picture isn’t current since I sold a few games about a week ago and picked up a couple of games but this is about everything I have. Besides a few loose games and consoles, almost everything is complete in box as well. (And if youre wondering, there’s a LOT of gundam you’re not seeing)

My pricecharting is current:

Here’s my discogs if you want to look through what I have so far:

I do have other non-colelcting hobbies that bleed me dry once in awhile :skull:
