Besides Pokemon it’s baseball cards for me. The Marlins and Cardinals do their spring training in my town so I got into getting baseballs autographed from the games and then I wanted to find a “cheaper” alternative to buying $25 baseballs and that’s when I saw people getting cards signed and have been into that since 2017. Which also reminded me about my Pokemon cards so I got back into that after years.
The baseballs I’ve got signed in person except for the Aaron Judge and DJ Peters which I got through the mail:

Also 2017 I had a bunch of cards and was like “what the hell am I gonna do with all the cards of players that never come here” and that’s when I got into TTM or Through the Mail autographing. Basically you write a letter and include the card and mail it to whatever athletes, celebrities, etc… you want to and hopefully you get it back. There’s several website that have the addresses but I 90% of the time just send to the stadium for active players. No real way to authenticate it besides sending to PSA/DNA and I have only done that with one card that came back authentic because that would cost wayyyyyy too much to do even though it would be very fun to do. I think I’m over 500 something autographed cards and pictures through the mail so far.
Left binder are some in person cards I’ve got signed and right binder is some of the TTM cards.

I’m not a video game collector, just kept all the games I’ve had since I was a kid. Still organizing everything. Top row is Playstation 1 and Original Xbox. Second row is Xbox One, Series X and Switch. Third row is all Xbox 360. Random stuff row. Then Bottom row is some Nintendo 64 boxes I somehow didn’t get rid of when I was a kid and card sorting lol I have a bunch more N64 games without the boxes.

I do a lot of through the mail autographing for athletes and some celebrities. I’ve seen quite a few people that collect WW1/2 and military autographs. You would have to send to a grading company to authenticate after to be sure, but it’s fun. There are several websites both paid and free that have where people send. One cool one I saw was a guy trying to get as many of the Tuskegee Airmen as he could but I don’t think it’s possible anymore. So far the only military related ones I have tried is Bill Weaver who was one of the SR-71 Blackbird test pilots and actually survived it crashing and astronaut Stanley Love. I’m going to start trying to get a bunch of astronauts soon and older military peoples. I’m getting ready to send out an 8x10 to Fred Haise, one of the Apollo 13 astronauts since I saw some people getting him back lately.

I collect manga, mainly second hand and usually kanzen editions. I know I could just go on Amazon and just everything I want in one go, but I search out the second hand shops in Japan to complete series I’m interested in. I usually try to buy them in order too. I also read them lol. I suppose the main ones are:

First Of The North Star. First series I completely collected, just through visiting second hand hands. Took about 2 years to find every volume in a shop.

Dragon Ball - Big Akira Toriyama fan. Easy to find all these but I’m still on the Namek Saga.

Berserk - Not really my favourite but the story up to Eclipse had me hooked. Also easy to find but there are like 40 volumes now so I expect it will take me a few years to finally buy and read every thing.

Saint Seiya - These don’t pop up all that often in my local shops so completing the full set will take a long time.

Touch - Another kind of uncommon one.

There are loads of series I want to get started with but I’m just waiting to find volume 1 in good condition first lol.

I also collect and build Gundam models especially HG kits of the OG series, Zeta, ZZ and Char’s Counterattack.

Very cool collection! Also, thoughts on the Berserk Deluxe edition? I got the first volume but haven’t finished it yet.

I’ve been collecting something that’s a bit like Pokemon Go and a bit like Geocaching. You get this card, and you go to different locations with a machine and you activate that you were there and usually they give you a prize. Every once in a while, they mail me a letter with how much I’ve gotten, and I’m trying to get to as many digits as possible. If you want to start collecting, too, you can look them up. The company is called Chase, which is because everyone wants your collection once you start building it up. I think I’m even going to be featured on a show sometime soon because this group called Collections said that they wanted to meet with me! Think I should bring my Pokemon cards?

I’ve been slowly rereading Dragon Ball and Akira Toriyama’s art is just so good from the beginning. He really has a talent for conveying motion through still images. Have you read his Manga Theater book?

I "collect"Lego (will build them all), mainly what I like from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Botanical and just started with Architecture.
These are my last bought ones. Finished the helmet set.
TIE fighter arrived today, which was the last one I needed.

I collect English Yugioh cards from the Duel Monsters era (2002-2004) as well as a mix of English and Japanese accessories. The sets within the DM era range from the very first set (Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon - released in 2002) to the 11th set (Ancient Sanctuary - released in 2004). Beyond this we get into the second era (called GX) and nearly all of my nostalgia lies in the first era, so that’s where most of my focus is.

Each set has 2 secret rares, 10 ultra rares, and 10 super rares, giving 22 holos total. Adding this up for 11 sets is 242 holos, which can be a lot to put together and has been very time consuming. I started collecting this in 2017 and raw mint cards were somewhat easy to come by during that time. What I’ve discovered over the past few years is that the raw market has more or less dried up. 99% of what I’ve purchased in the last 2-3 years has been graded. My collection is a mixture of raw and graded cards, but that’s okay with me. The raw cards are very, very clean.

The thing about Yugioh compared to Pokémon is that Pokémon has always seemed like more of a collectors gig than a players thing. Even as a 9 year old, my cards were there purely as something for me to collect. None of us knew how to play and, from what I can tell, that was largely the same experience for most kids around that time. Yugioh was the complete opposite. The show was all about dueling and actively using your cards, so that translated directly into the behavior of its customer base. We and everyone I knew were players first and collectors a distant second. I also don’t think Yugioh was printed as much as Pokemon. In my opinion, these are why the pop reports of Yugioh cards will never be high.

Currently storing cards in these Card Vault USA cases. They’ve been pretty great so far.

This is outside the DM era, but it’s of course my favorite monster

As for accessories, I love collecting sealed sleeves, deckboxes, playmats, and posters.

This is the poster for the Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon set. It’s holofoil and 24x18. They’re extremely hard to come by.

Here are sealed sleeves, deckboxes, and playmats. The English ones are from 2002 and the Japanese ones are from 1998 I believe.

Last, but not least, is my regional playmat from 2003. Hard to believe this is 20 years old. I started attending regional tournaments at 12 and actually managed to win my first event. It was held in Indianapolis, Indiana. If I had to keep just one thing, it would be this mat.

Do you mean as a product or the story within? I don’t think the deluxe editions have been released in Japan so I just have the standard size Japanese books but actually sometimes its fairly obvious that the artwork was intended was intended for a magazine size page so I imagine the big format books are definitely a good way to read it! As for the story, up the end of the Golden Age arc is really good! I’ve read some of the English translation too and it is quite well done. Very faithful to the Japanese writing.

I collect/ build/ restore vintage bikes, heres two ive completed recently. A vintage 1998 cannondale with full campagnolo record of the same period and a fully njs certified makino keirin track bike from japan.

I also collect guitars. Heres my 2000 les paul, 87 mij kramer baretta and a 1989 greco les paul custom.

I collect Native American stone artifacts and tools like arrowheads as well as beach glass. It’s extremely rewarding to collect something that’s priceless that can only be found with experience and time.

Only just saw this thread, very excited to see another LOTR collector! I’ve got a few of the Topps sets in binders and I absolutely love the Cryptozoic autos from the middle earth set. Picked up these two this year! Tempted by decipher booster boxes but I’m not sure I’m overly enamoured with the cards yet.

Love these!

I’ve got a lot of the Topps autos and prismatic sets but not those yet.

I love the decipher cards! If you want we are doing a Bloodlines (set 13) box break on Wednesday! 4 packs left haha.

Very rare box and here are some of the foil hits
