As a side note, thank you @Vertemes for starting this thread. Initially I saw it and thought “yeah yeah, just another favorite card thread”, but seeing it regularly be updated from everyone with cards they enjoy helps me genuinely stop and appreciate my cards more regularly, which is something I have been trying to do more. So bravo!

If you do, put a strong flashlight through it. Some are blue core and some black, unsure of the difference still but its kind of cool to just know. Could just be paper availability.

This Dark Magcargo by Toshinao Aoki has been on my mind as of late. This, in my opinion, is the card with the MOST aura. I love the 2000s grind fiction-esque feel to it with the bold lines and distorted texture background, which is very unique from a Pokémon card. If cards had a sound, this one emanates a drum ‘n bass jungle vibe.
Aoki’s Dark Exeggutor and Dark Ariados also have that feel. And together, they make up an RGB gradient which I really like as well.
Might have to pick these up now. Very pretty cards.
