I usually don’t have hard collections goals. Though this year I have decided might be time.
Finish my Top-Thirty Two World promos. 2 left 2007, 2022.
Make an e4 collection thread of my favorite binders. My artist binders and 4’11 binder. Mostly just need to take the time to do some scans and figure out how to do those fancy banners.
Not really collection. Be victorious in bringing down @beccazican and @jaxlax21 in the E4 love explosion

I’m not sure if this makes a difference to you, but to my knowledge 2007 didn’t have top 32- it was instead labeled “quarter finalist”.
Either way, I wish you the best of luck in your goals! The world’s promos are absolutely beautiful, and I’m looking forward to your collection post!

Eventually I will update my collection threads because I don’t have anything I had 5 years ago.
Other than maintaining dominance as E4’s greatest lover, I’m looking to pick up a Grand Party this year and eventually a 2016 Pikachu Festa so I can finally mark that off my list. No idea why, but most of my main goals are now just expensive wishes, and everything else is for shiggles.

Having consolidated part of my collection already in 2024 to obtain one of my bigger goals (kangaskhan) I’ll probably tone it down a bit in 2025 and continue to follow modern set art I like such as the SARs and ARs. Will also continue collecting Pikachu cards as a lightweight species collector.

I’m going to make mine fairly simple:
- Collect with a healthy mindset
- 33% complete with all languages metapod collection
- Add 10 new postcards to my collection
- Subgoal to update collection thread with postcards
- Add 1-2 cards from my long term list to the collection

I’m shifting to binder collecting. So I’m going to buy a nice binder and psa 8-9s to crack the slabs and add to the binder collection

Grading at least 10 of my reverse sets.
Keeping those sets together and perhaps adding better grades, but for now it’s how they return will be my final collection.

I feel like this needs to be split into two categories…
REALISTIC GOALS:
- Finish scanning everything and make an E4 thread
- Finish grading the rest of SM in a PSA 10
- Finish grading the rest of SWSH in a PSA 10
UNREALISTIC GOALS:
- PSA 10 of Advent Calendar Snorunt promo in every language
(English, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese) - Finish grading the rest of the EX era in a PSA 10 lol

I’ve started doing this too 
Maybe it’s because I got back into the hobby in 2020 when it was “grade everything” mania, but I only collected graded for a long time. Now I’ve started collecting PSA 10 holos (or PSA 9 WOTC) and doing binder sets for the non-holos. It’s been a lot of fun. I typically just buy strong 7s or 8s (or 9s if I can get a good deal) and crack them out. I understand now what a lot of folks on the forum mean when they say there’s something satisfying about looking at all the cards in a binder.

It’s really is the best of both worlds, nostalgia and collecting. Plus I feel as though binders are made so well now that the cards are very protected

My goal for 2025 is to have every staff variant for prerelease cards in english by the end of the year with the exception of evolutions because i might need more time
