Keep up with releases.
Two weeks ago I was out playing Pokémon Go, and some young kids joined us raiding holding booster packs of the newest set. For the love of Bidoof I thought the most recent set was Mega Evolution…
In 2026 I’d like to reach 98% complete on my all-language Slow collection, in other words: 25 or less cards out of 1275 remaining. I’m currently at 78% completion, or 280 cards remaining. The sub goals involved here are:

A little bit of an unconventional answer – I’d like to use collecting as a way to improve my art/drawing abilities (starting at a non-existent level lol). Hoping to draw (copy by hand) every card I purchase and maybe eventually add my own flair
Collect standard reverse holos from the Mega Evolution era until I complete the generation 2 new dex in a binder.

I have 19 cards missing for my Eeveelutions graded set (7 Vaporeons, 8 Flareons, 3 Glaceons and 1 Leafeon)
6 should be easy but the rest are more challenging including 3 XY unlimited
Hoping to get at least 10 of the cards in 2026 including 1 of the unlimited
My current set is mostly PSA 10 but there are few 9 (or below) that need an upgrade. Those are typically single digit pop (or no pop). Hoping to find/grade 6 of them (half of what I was able to do in 2025)
Keep up with new releases, hopefully there is not another Eevee set for a little while….

I’d like to complete a few unfinished JP holo binder sets I’ve had for a long time:
After that, I might focus on finishing my Shadowless and 1999-2000 print Base Set holos.
I also want to keep expanding my graded JP promo collection, there are still so many cards I’d like to pick up, but they only pop up once a year at best, so fingers crossed! 
Eventually, I’d like to start a No Rarity holo binder set, and maybe even a 1st Edition Base set too, though I don’t think that will happen in 2026.

2026 is gonna be quality over quantity.
Next year will be the first time I spend more than 1k on a single purchase. Ngl hyped for the cards but big purchases always scares me a bit
Start a 1st edition neo binder
Find the 7 remaining torchic I need
Find most of the 4 “difficult” combusken cards I need
Find most of the 8 “difficult” blaziken cards I need
Find most of the 5 EX era WINNER stamp cards I need
Obtain either Korean ADV pikachu or Korean ADV mudkip deck
Find 1 euro pop mudkip or treecko I don’t have
The same thing I do every year, collect all the Aura’s Lucario set in a PSA 10! I am currently 8/9, but I am missing the rarest of the bunch, the 079/PCG-P. It is my dream card and I was recently fortunate enough to have one signed by Arita, but I am still hungry for that 10!
