Extremely ambitious:

- Japanese Base short pack box- Another Snap promo
God mode:
- See a real Snap Magikarp appear

I just started collecting and current prices are a little scary, but I would love to own at least one booster of every English set ever released (not counting 1st edition). The sealed stuff is so cool, but I’m definitely priced out of most vintage boxes right now so boosters will have to do!
I’d also like to complete a few more binder sets. I’m almost finished with Base and Neo Genesis, and I’ve made a big dent in Aquapolis. Maybe I’ll try to finish Aquapolis and complete Jungle through the Gym sets? Okay now I’m getting ahead of myself, ha.

-Make a $20,000 deal (aprx 6x 2020 biggest sale)
-Break $200,000 in sales (aprx 4x 2020)

I’m super excited for next year! Some of my goals are to:
- Continue to produce quality card content
- Get better at animation
- Keep on learning more about Pokemon cards especially Japanese ones (really love the newer promos)
- Support my friends.

I don’t have many specific goals but keep buying cards of my favorite Pokemon, and trying to complete ex sets.
I know that my way of collecting ex sets isn’t a real completion for many people around here because I collect the sets mixed. Meaning, the cards can be in any language, and reverse holo or not. I’m just doing it for my love of the ex-era which is why I’m not picky of the language. Especially because other languages than English can be much cheaper… I also accept World Championship versions of cards as well.
But, unfortunately, I think I have to give up on Gold Stars when it comes to these sets. “Cheap” Gold Stars don’t exist anymore, not even in heavy played condition. But if I can get all ex cards eventually I’ll be very happy.
When it comes to grading, I’m going to reduce that a lot. I used to grade cards of my favorite Pokemon and cards that I like, but I’ve come to the point where I have so many graded cards and I’m not happy with how much grading costs and how long it takes these days to get the cards back. So it’s seriously time to re-evaluate things in terms of grading. From now on, I will only grade card variants of my top favorite Pokemon (mainly Rayquaza, Salamence, Flygon, Latias and Latios as my Alolan Vulpix / Ninetales graded collection will be complete) and maybe some Promos.
The favorite cards that I already have graded I won’t get rid of because I like most of them too much, but I’m not going to grow the pile. I also made a new binder collection that I would like to call “cards that I like for some reason”. It can only have holos / rares / uncommons and commons. No ultra rares allowed. And they can be any card that I just like, mostly for art reasons or if there’s a card that makes me happy, or a card that I think is cute… Anything.

Find and grade more mint no number topsuns (I’ve accumulated a few binder pages of played copies by now)

Gold star ray (most likely 6-9 or raw japanese will be what I can afford without selling other stuff that I don’t want to sell)
More ambitious:
Finish Masaki set (only have the gengar)
Extremely ambitious:
Grade another mint no number topsun charizard for when I complete the set (graded an 8 this year but sold it like an idiot)
God mode: Get one of my PSA subs back.

I’ve been able to finish some of my collection goals this year, which is awesome. But in general it’s still somewhat similar as last year, except maybe slightly less:

Keep up with Pikachu releases. This is and always will be the toughest challenge for me…

Keep up with new English and Japanese exclusive FA Supporter cards. This collection is currently complete, and I love it, but I’d like to keep it complete.

Keep up with new Seviper releases (I doubt any new Seviper card will release in 2021 tbch, since I’ve already been spoiled in the Sun & Moon era regarding new Seviper cards. But if any new Seviper would release next year, I’ll get every version of it to keep my Seviper collection in all languages complete.)

Find the Japanese 1st edition Pokémon Web booster pack that contains a Moltres, and possibly find a CGC-10 graded English Moltres, to finish this collection.
And that’s about it. I’ve stopped collecting my National Index collection; I will try to get one more Yu-Gi-Oh misprinted rarity, and then stop with this collection for now as well; and my Ancient Mew PSA-10 collection is complete except for the Korean version, although I’m not sure if PSA grades those yet (I will be sending two of those once the raw cards have arrived at my place).
So yeah, mostly Pikachu, Pikachu, Pikachu, in addition to staying alive, healthy, employed, and have any money left at the end of the year.
Oh, and one more ‘goal’ in 2021 is to start selling. I have over 10k of duplicated bulk (mostly Japanese and Korean cards) that I have yet to sell. I also plan on selling roughly halve of my twisty puzzles collection, and possibly some non-duplicated Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
