Hi everyone,
My name is Derek and Iām from the US.
Im currently looking to combine my passion of traveling and card collecting together, and meet some of you around the world and even do some deals in person.
Iāve been collecting PokĆ©mon since I was a child, and have been seriously collecting between 2017-2021 where I eventually got priced out due to being a broke college student. Now Iām looking to make a full resurgence into the community, and would love share our passion for cards.
My favorite PokƩmon are Espeon, Latias and Ceruledge, but I am a sealed collector.
Some trips Iāve done are flying to Norway to sell a team rocket briefcase, and flying to Italy to pick up sealed boxes.
I would love to add your country to the list as well, so I would love to connect!

Very warm welcome to the forums @Cardsacrosscultures. Super super awesome to have to on here. I find it a very fascinating aspect to be able to travel and meet fellow collectors and do trade and share stories. It is something I think I would also enjoy doing but personal circumstances donāt allow it to happen as much as I would like.
Would be great to really get to know you and also know more about your travel stories and the folks you meet. Looking forward to it and also know a bit more about your collection and what are your interests.
Since you mentioned 2 trips to Europe, we do have a thread with events happening in the EU region, so it may interest you to keep an eye on it. I think the folks updating it do try to keep it as recent as possible.
Welcome again and have a great time interacting with all the lovely people here.

New to the forums and on my phone so I hope Iām doing this right (if not Iāll just join the discord because at least I know how that works).
I have something I was looking to get appraised and reddit sent me here to see how to go about it. I donāt really play Pokemon anymore, but I started with Leaf Green and ended around the time of Sun and Moon. If they ever release another Pokemon Ranger game Iāll be there.
Anyway, Iāve read through the rules but please let me know if trying to get a value on a Pokemon trophy is too close to trying to sell, or if thereās somewhere else I should go to get it evaluated. Thanks!

Welcome! As Defiance said, we have a HUGE knowledge base here, so youāre in the right place. As long as you respect others, youāll be fine. 
Even if someone canāt appraise value, we can certainly help you with information, and point you in a better direction to ascertain itās value. Iām sure many of us are interested in knowing what it is you have. haha We cant HELP ourselves.

hello everyone! iām matt and iām a newer collector 
iāve been into pokemon since i was a kid and collected cards as a kid, but only started up again about twoish years ago or so. thought itād be fun to talk to other collectors 
i also just learned swirl cards exist and im already obsessed LOL
my favorite pokemon are mew, porygon, dratini and giratina!

i found the swirl thread shortly after i first posted and believe me i was scrolling and scrolling, even went through some of my cards to see if i had one that i just hadnāt noticed LOL
