Video about the Logan case

I’m not attributing the entire thing to Logan. The statement you made is obviously true that these things happened before Logan, just talking about the levels we see them at today. At the end of the day I can look at guys like you, Gary, Rusty, etc… and I know all you guys are truly passionate about the hobby and the income comes as a result of that. If the views and money weren’t there, would Logan? I’m going to say no.

The real hero and true collector here is Justin Bieber who kept his Pokemon stuff private.

For all those with graded packs, what are you all gonna do? I planned on sending a few of my japanese packs in to be graded, but not anymore. I hope if anyone cracks their slabs of graded packs, gets some sort of refund, if they find out their cards are fake.

“If the views and money weren’t there, would Logan? I’m going to say no.”

I will never understand the thought process behind people saying stuff like this. Go look at Logan Paul’s YouTube channel. Not one video about Pokemon cracks the top 75 most popular videos he has made. If Logan Paul just cared about the money and views, there are 100 other avenues that he could use to make more money and get more views than Pokemon, some of which he already does. You think opening Pokemon boxes gets him more views and money than his pay per view boxing? Than his drink deals and endorsements and podcast and music videos?

I’ve heard people say this sort of thing about almost anyone who has come into this hobby that already has a lot of money and frankly it’s a laughable statement. If you have a lot of money already there are thousands of places to put it that give you better return for less risk, less time investment, less knowledge needed, have more liquidity, etc.

Of course you can make money in this hobby. But people are here because they like Pokemon and like collecting.

Can anyone confirm that this was the really big secret Pokémon deal Logan had teased in one of his podcast or are we still waiting for that information to be public?

What else should it be? The man only knows about base set anyways

Yes but it’s the worst starter.

Yes, if we ignore that Charmander exists

Of the OG.
Best Starter - Bulbasaur (rough and cute)
Best Middle Evo - Wartortle (look at those ears!)
Best Final Evo - Charizard (dragon)

We agree on all except the final. Venusaur all day

question for my fellow Canadians - when Pokemon first appeared on our side of the boarder, did you open shadowless packs or unlimited?

I don’t recall ever seeing a 1st ed booster or any kids in my school with first ed base set cards. I distinctly remember everyone having unlimited or there was a small chance someone had shadowless.

I even remember fake packs made its way over here before the real cards did.

Ive come across several collections/garage sales in western BC which had 1st ed base cards, when i asked about the collection origins the answers were always the same, purchased packs at lgs, or some type of store, opened and played with the cards. So yes, they made their way to my neck of the woods too

My favorite starter was always Charmander. It’s probably because his episode in the first animated series, is one of the most memorable

The truth is usually somewhere closer to the middle, between the extremes. Personally, I don’t care whether buying the box was a stunt by LP, or if he was turning lemons into lemonade. Ultimately, the POTENTIAL of the box is what matters most, and it’s nice to know the outcome now. That’s all. I care no more for LP. I care no more for his sports drink. I am most curious now, about what exactly those G.I. Joe Cards were… but not enough to go search. haha

Not gonna say whether or not you have a point here, but just to throw it in there: Cracking Pokémon cases is a very easy idea to get some quick views.
