In a game where reputation matters so much, you think someone like that would’ve had the sensibility to at least think twice about authenticating a $3.5 MM item that they weren’t at all familiar with. No pity for these guys.

BRO! THE STICKER HAD PRESSURE APPLIED TO IT AFTER IT WAS ATTACHED. HOW COULD ANYONE FAKE THAT?
brb gotta go buy a boat with the cash I found in my new motorcycle

No matter what, Logan still comes out ahead. This is all publicity for him. I dont think he really cares that he was scammed. He’ll more than likely get his money back. The views on the videos and advertising for his drink will net him even more money. It’s only really a loss for smaller collectors who have sent unopened packs in and got em graded.

This is would’ve been fun if Logan graded the GI Joe cards with some kind of special label and auctioned them off for charity or something.

The words of someone that has no money to refund hoping to get a pass

Plot twist to milk this further: The GI Joe cards are more expensive than $3.5 mil.

Just for the irony, he should get all of the G.I. Joe packs graded by PSA and sold as mementos. “MEMEntos” But I suppose the packs may be considered evidence now, or at least have to be sent back down the chain with each refund.

Someone should dust the box, case, and packs for prints.

Idk how to properly post gifs because I’m a boomer but this is everyone involved currently.

Adding another one because it also works. c.tenor.com/hPaBjxGszlgAAAAC/gif.gif

This is what you gathered from this whole situation? That Logan Paul doesn’t care that he was scammed? A publicity stunt? LP could’ve said “f u” to the community, disregarded the amazing research by Rattle and lock the case away forever. However, he didn’t. Instead, he was able to help expose the lack of effort done by BBCE and the shady dealings of the case.

The fact that you think this says a lot about you.

Atleast Rattle shouldn’t have to be worried about getting sued now.

I’m surprised they left the video up buying the fake case by Mellypops and Jacob.

Has there been any word from Logans “expert” advisers? Do they keep their finder’s fee? :joy:

This is very silly. All of the things you’re describing are secondary to a high rolling collector wanting to verify they were not scammed. Logan Paul did not open the case out of some selfless desire to make the PokĂ©mon community or market better. He did it because he spent three and a half million dollars on a cardboard box that everyone told him was a fraud. He did not seek clarification on his purchase out of some sort of respect for the community. Why would someone deny the widespread concern that they’d been taken advantage of? Why would he, who just spent a literal fortune, risk his investment by saying “fuck you” to the people raising alarms?

Of course he would seek accountability in the wake of being scammed and demand answers from the people he transacted with. This is in his own interest. It has literally nothing to do with “the community.”

Logan Paul was the legitimate victim of a costly grift and is seeking information and reparations for that, just like anybody would. Acting like this is somehow an act of heroism or a testament to his character is just, again, silly. If I bought something that I was assured was authentic but upon closer examination it turned out not to be, I would demand a refund and seek answers from the people I did business with. This does not make me a hero. I, like Logan Paul, am merely a man.

Saying that Logan Paul will at the very least benefit from the publicity, which is literally his entire business as a public personality and influencer, is an entirely normal and accurate response to this situation. Of course he will benefit from this publicity. This does not negate the damage that’s been enacted upon him or the legitimacy of his claim. But at the end of the day his business is publicity. He got his money back and now can create content and ride with a narrative to maintain publicity for his work. While I’m sure he would have liked the item he thought he was buying, I’m sure he knows he’s going to be all right and it’s no skin off his back.
