In a game where reputation matters so much, you think someone like that wouldâve had the sensibility to at least think twice about authenticating a $3.5 MM item that they werenât at all familiar with. No pity for these guys.
BRO! THE STICKER HAD PRESSURE APPLIED TO IT AFTER IT WAS ATTACHED. HOW COULD ANYONE FAKE THAT?
brb gotta go buy a boat with the cash I found in my new motorcycle
No matter what, Logan still comes out ahead. This is all publicity for him. I dont think he really cares that he was scammed. Heâll more than likely get his money back. The views on the videos and advertising for his drink will net him even more money. Itâs only really a loss for smaller collectors who have sent unopened packs in and got em graded.
Just for the irony, he should get all of the G.I. Joe packs graded by PSA and sold as mementos. âMEMEntosâ But I suppose the packs may be considered evidence now, or at least have to be sent back down the chain with each refund.
This is what you gathered from this whole situation? That Logan Paul doesnât care that he was scammed? A publicity stunt? LP couldâve said âf uâ to the community, disregarded the amazing research by Rattle and lock the case away forever. However, he didnât. Instead, he was able to help expose the lack of effort done by BBCE and the shady dealings of the case.
The fact that you think this says a lot about you.
Of course he would seek accountability in the wake of being scammed and demand answers from the people he transacted with. This is in his own interest. It has literally nothing to do with âthe community.â
Logan Paul was the legitimate victim of a costly grift and is seeking information and reparations for that, just like anybody would. Acting like this is somehow an act of heroism or a testament to his character is just, again, silly. If I bought something that I was assured was authentic but upon closer examination it turned out not to be, I would demand a refund and seek answers from the people I did business with. This does not make me a hero. I, like Logan Paul, am merely a man.
Saying that Logan Paul will at the very least benefit from the publicity, which is literally his entire business as a public personality and influencer, is an entirely normal and accurate response to this situation. Of course he will benefit from this publicity. This does not negate the damage thatâs been enacted upon him or the legitimacy of his claim. But at the end of the day his business is publicity. He got his money back and now can create content and ride with a narrative to maintain publicity for his work. While Iâm sure he would have liked the item he thought he was buying, Iâm sure he knows heâs going to be all right and itâs no skin off his back.
