too lazy to check, but is that the same copy charizard king won a few month back?
No this is a different copy, he must have inspired someone to leave their mew on the sunbed
I am the wrong person to ask because idk who charizard king is lol
the guy that bought a 10k sunfaded card
Sunfading cards and listing them on PWCC is trash behavior.
Lol I was going to post this. It’s back!
Yes I agree. I doubt it was even truly sunfaded, but rather some UV light shined directly on it for a period of time. I am not backing the idea of doing this I was just merely posting the card on here for discussion. I hadn’t seen the “charizard king” copy before so this is the first time I have seen this mew like this. The more I think about this idea I bet they did it with $$$ in mind.
There was a lot of dumb money spent on these sunfaded cards. There were others (English Base Set Unlimited Charizard) that sold later as well.
I am going to go out a limb here and say that we most likely will see more of these then in the future if they are earning that premium. Somebody probably has a “sun fading factory” and is using PWCC to hide their name. I was clueless to this…maybe I would be better off not knowing these types of things actually happen.
A lot of people blasted the IG buyer who purchased these and quickly educated the masses that they are sunfaded/damaged. There have been some attempts on eBay of sellers trying to replicate these sales, but they never end this high. This was just a case of uninformed buyers with a lot of money, and now most people are informed of the situation.
Holy 8k on the sun faded zard
I thought the mew was a cool prinitng error I hadn’t seen where they didn’t add the top holo layer to the card buuuut I guess not
I mean the mew does look really cool in my opinion but I’m just turned off by the situation
Yeah admitted the blue really pops when its faded.
That’s what drove the price up. People thought it was an error and it was just damaged. When I see people asking if things are errors on FB groups it’s usually filled with terrible information and the dreaded A C E T O N E answer.
Acetone answer?
The joke is that everyone assumes ink errors are related to people wiping a card with acetone. Kind of a running joke in the error world.
Ahh thanks lol
Wow this was paid for…there was one on eBay for $13k at the time of this auction. Hmmm that’s weird. Credit to @swolepoke for the proof.
10k average, why would anyone pay 29k for this…
Trying to offload crypto or PWCC account balance is the best guess we came up with.
