The PWCC Megathread

Also I doubt a buyout would have occured without any sort of stocktake having taken place

I would really hope so. I don’t really know how PWCC handles their vault and stuff but I honestly just assumed it would be similar to a Safety deposit box where the primary security would be to prevent unscrupulous actors from entering the vault, not checking to see all the items are there or not.

In other words someone who had access to the vault and had the keys, hypothetically would be able to steal a small little slab from a customers vault before being let go. I guess what I’m trying to say is I don’t really know how PWCC protects my cards at all from bad actors within the company.

“For security purposes, at this time, only PWCC employees are allowed into the Vault.” - PWCC site

People in general tend to choose the path of least resistance, and thieves are no different. To me, whether it was theft or loss, it is likely to have happened after the item was taken out of the vault and went into packaging, labeling or shipping.

I’d be willing to bet that between the items leaving the packaging warehouse and going in the van for distribution there will be little oversight as there must be hundreds if not thousands of packets and boxes going through that process.

Had to look up “ixnay” as I wasn’t sure if it was a word or a typo.

It’s pig Latin.

Oh I didn’t take Latin in high school

Pig Latin is a joke language made to poorly obsfucate what’s being said. You just move the first constant sound (if the word begins with one) to the end of the word and add on “-ay” at the end.

Maybe this is just a boomer thing, but I remember learning about it from other kids in elementary school.

It’s not going to me it’s going to the buyer. And you better believe I insisted on a picture of the package. Let me have this moment of weight off my chest please.

Maybe they will offer you a 100$ credit for being a loyal customer now;)

Does it take four weeks for the filter to be applied?

Not really. I think understaffed + internal miscommunication + a bit of incompetence was at fault. They wouldn’t give me a photo to prove they had the card until I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Once I was able to reach a VP things went smoothly.
