The PWCC Megathread

Also, you could probably sell it as a first edition zard on eBay and their authentication team would still approve it.

Schrödinger’s Charizard, If the label says it’s 1st Edition, and eBay authentication says it’s 1st Edition, is the 1st Edition stamp there or not? If you can’t see it, are you sure you’re even perceiving reality?

Really sad I have to share this story from my Instagram account.

It was finally solved right?

No? I had to post this just now

Oh I see, I thought it was the post from some days ago, my bad. I hope they solve it soon :frowning:

I’ve had a lot of people mention to me that their card took a week or two but it’s just delayed and it’s ok. Guys I know you mean well but that’s precisely the problem - that your card took a week or two while mine is at four weeks with no explanation. If I had been told from the start to expect a 30 day wait that’s one thing. To get a different story about why it’s been delayed every week is the issue.

Really sorry to hear that and hope it gets resolved soon (I would be furious) but I also doubt that employees are committing grand larceny on camera? At least I would hope not

Employee theft is the most common type of retail theft :man_shrugging:

Employee laid off steals the highest value shipped card on his last day.

Im sure there are plenty of cracks in systems that would allow this to be easily done, most people know safe ways to steal from their workplace
I bet they are trying to get it back and stringing you along hoping it gets resolved fast.

Anyway I hope this works out but PWCC picked the wrong person to annoy, I’ve taken someone to court over Pokémon before and don’t tolerate shit like this. For now I’ve filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

@qwachansey Well I can’t blame you there, some of us are playing with big money items. I just got my other sub back today. I’m trying to figure out if I want to pull the rest of my cards and relocate them or just keep them there for the time being.

Hope you get it resolved.

Yes but stealing an item from Target is different than stealing a $42k card from a vault that has security and access controls and 150 cameras.

For sure I would do what you are doing though, like filing complaint with BBB and then also file with the NY AG if you can. I spoke to Betsy once with questions about the capital notes and the email came from qr@pwccmarketplace.com. No clue if that escalates somewhere but maybe worth trying

@qwachansey

It sounds like an awful situation and I hope that it is resolved soon. However, you may want to hold off on accusations of theft. That is a serious accusation with potential legal consequences for you if the theft claim is unfounded (i.e., defamation lawsuit).

I understand that you’re trying to get their attention with social media, and I think that this is the “right way” moving forward, but maybe ixnay the groundless accusations until more information is brought to light.

That’s a good point

For those curious, I was told it would either be “A few more days” or “this week” on the following dates:

May 18
May 23
May 30
June 2
June 6

Just a question since we are on the topic of theft.

Lets say someone does steal something from someone’s vault. How would an owner even know? Does someone check on the inventory of a vault on a regular basis? For me, my slabs have been in PWCC for years and I don’t really plan to pull my items out any time soon, but when I do what if they are stolen from a while ago and I just didn’t know. hypotheticals I know, but I am curious what everyone thinks. Is this something that people should be fearful about?

At this time, there is no reason to believe that theft is an actual issue at PWCC. Of course, this can change when new evidence is brought forward.

With big values like they have, I would assume they have third party auditors that do checks every year.
