Cards can be sun-bleached before or after they are encased. The clear portion of the slab won’t show much damage, but the label will if it is exposed.

I wonder if the owner could ask petiparty to shine a UV light on it for another a week or so and get a much more balanced bleached look.
Psa made quite the mistake here, their scan of the card also shows the fading. So they graded a sun damaged card a 9. No idea how that should be graded, but I would not expect a 9

Wow, you’re right about that. I always assumed that sun-damage would knock the grades down to the PSA 6 range. Just like dents, creases, water damage, etc.

Cards seem lower through the week leading up to final day because there is no incentive to prebid now.
Absolutely wild that they would do this again after all the heat they caught last time with the art academy card.

PWCC will just take their post down when it goes unpaid and pretend nothing happened, just like last time. People on social media have no memory power
Typcial PWCC, posting “record sales” on cards before they are paid for. That strategy is not for me

Not afraid to admit when I am wrong and it looks like PWCC just removed the payment pending part on this sale so maybe the buyer did pay. Congrats to the new owner!
There are about 5000 (and climbing) PSA 10 moonbreon and prices are still steady around the $900-1k point which is crazy for a modern card with the amount of copies still available to be pulled.
If it really did get paid, I may just crack my PSA 10 and submit to BGS and aim for the black label lol.
