I’ll say it again, heavy DP era Lv.X/Prime vibes. Could be a one off miss but we could be entering another slow era for pokemon.
I see a lot of parallels however from gold stars and alt arts being the new great thing and then going to a flop[ in the form of Lv.x and Vstar.
could be an overreaction but in my eyes it seems like a similar situation.

But VSTAR is replacing VMAX not the alt art.
Unless the new alt arts need some space for the copy & paste star lol.

Actually Vs and VSTARs mean you don’t need the pre-evos.

With any luck it looks like they’re going to phase out VMax for Vstar which will really help the game meta. As huge HP 3 card prize Pokémon is just nonsense and hurts the game. I’ve started building legacy decks on Pokémon TCG online and the games are way more enjoyable.
