Business day 46 myself along with a submission not put in their system yet sitting at 11 business days in their possession. I get that they were moving or whatever, but this is ridiculous to not tell the customers.

I’ve never submitted to BGS, what is the “estimated” completion time for your service?
It was a non-guaranteed order, so 60 days.
I did contact BGS in mid-November regarding the order. I was told non-guaranteed orders were taking 5-6 months.
I want to add a slightly different perspective to this;
I’ve been closely collecting data for a while on PSA, and the results are really cool imo.
Not too long ago I thought I read @garyis2000 mention that PSA authenticates 1,000,000 collectables a year. When I read that, it blew my mind. That was until I did my own math.
The numbers I have predict that PSA is much closer to authenticating 1,800,000 collectables this year. That’s 4,931 collectables every day.
Assuming that a business year is around 247 days (accounting for weekends and CA holiday schedule) that means PSA will on average, grade 7,287 collectables every day!!
Considering their business hours are 7am-5pm, that makes it;
- 728 collectables per hour
- 12 collectables per minute
- 1 collectable every 5 seconds
I know we are all desperate for our results, and I’ve been pretty lucky myself this year, but PSA is really pumping out the numbers now. I’d rather them do it right then rush it.
I just wish they implemented a FIFO system, it would likely improve their perceived tardiness.

I read here on E4 that they have had success calling to report late orders.
I’ve heard mixed things overall (from here and from sports card forums) that sometimes you’ll just get the “sorry for the delay, but the times are estimates, not guarantees”, where others have been offered free vouchers.
I’m assuming what it comes down to is how persistent the customer is about their complaint.

That was just a scheme to get people to re-new there membership early - PSA needs more money for their moving costs! Haha No, they’re closed today - I imagine it’ll get updated at some point tomorrow. Although, I’m sure they could have had an automatic update for their website set-up for midnight.

wow, that’s 11 straight months worth of shitty specials for post-1956 cards. $100 says the next post-1956 special is like $18 per card with a 10 day turnaround time or maybe $10 per card with a 30 day turnaround time. save this post folks. you heard it here first.

Maybe they will raise their prices on bulk submissions and then the club price will be the current bulk rates.
No point, bulk submissions require membership.
