Oh for sure there’s some bad examples out there. I just think it’s a lot harder than most people imagine to improve the consistency from here without impacting grading time/costs. We’re seeing the worst offenders from literally millions of cards.

Whenever I go to card shows I take the youngest with me, she doesnt collect but likes the gamble on the spinny wheel vendors do. She got these pulls from around 15 packs of mixed modern and when she pulled them she had them on her stand proudly. I said I’d look after them and wanted to surprise her by grading them. I was expecting a 9 on the walking wake but happy it got a 10. She will not trade nor sell. She’ll hold onto them (I hope)
The third card in the sub was a Dark Charm which I won on auction for £7 and wanted to hit a 9 which did for my collection

Some fairly inconsistent returns:

Ex Deoxys were from a large binder collection I purchased which had duplicates behind each other and the cards were not sleeved including the Ex Deoxys that hit a 10. There was also card curving on all the holos so I believe they were in an attic or somewhere with large temperature swings. All the cards look to of been pack pulled, probably from a guy who cracked a few booster boxes back in the day as almost no scratches , just binder dings on the cards. One hit a PSA 10 which was nice!

Ex power keepers, all were kept sleeved in a complete set I purchased a while back, very consistent grades.

Ex Deoxys and EX TRR had the most worst prints ever.
From memory they changed printing company for those and it was horrible.
Most of all the reverses, Came out of the boosters heavy damaged. Missing ink and all cards curled when you looked at them.

The Japanese highlight is definitely the UED World Champions Pack Snorunt
I’m not surprised that the Japanese cards would 10. But this feels so good after having two tough submissions.
