I’m getting some back shortly. I use a middleman so I don’t get regular updates.
My maths from tracking pop reports is that I have yet again failed to get mint on my final 2 cards for the raichu english tcg.
Maybe psa are in a bad mood? This month. Haha
I think they’re taking centering on modern a lot more seriously. I used to be able to send modern japanese trainers without looking at them and get 10s. Not the case this time so I may need to scrutinize my subs better going forward
A lot of those cards you got 9s on, had pretty poor top/bottom centering. I’ve always had bad luck with modern if the top/bottom centering is off like that.

Curious where it shipped from, CA or NJ?
Out of my last 3 subs
NJ: I cracked 9 of 40 slabs. Agreed with roughly half of the 9 grades when cracked. The other 5 I resubbed and all got 10s the second time around.
NJ: I have 6 of 70 in my to be cracked pile because I can’t find anything wrong with them looking through the case.
CA: Reasonable 1 of 40 to be cracked and resubbed.
A % of PSA 9s are just PSA 10s that haven’t been submitted enough times.

I was tracking these cards so I knew the 9’s had eluded me for the two I had left to get. Bit disappointed overall, especially when the middleman has ignored my cosmos holo note and subbed them as normal holo. I was hoping with a larger pop that PSA might have been kinder on them though.
Some poor results for me, especially the 6. It looks to me like PSA will have damaged the card as I would never sub a dented card, especially a brand new released 50 pence card.

UK Guys - are you mainly shipping direct to PSA or using middleman services?
Also on a more general note - Any advice on the TCG vs Value tiers in terms of risk of upcharges? I find it annoying if i want to submit complete sets sequentially that i have to pull out the slightly more valuable holos from the low value ones just because of the tiering. Also if i want to send all my EXs together i have to guess the higher end EXs from lower value incase i hit 9s and they go into the $200-400 mark? I have not sent cards in for grading since the 2020/21 boom via middlemen all in bulk tier and had some upcharges but really not familiar with what most people do.
I have only graded via middlemen in the past given some of the horror stories of lost shipments internationally/ incorrectly being charged customs taxes etc!

I use The Sub Center. They are very efficient, have all the stuff I expect (insurance, a giant safe, fast handling times).
They seem to be expanding and being rewarded for that from PSA as well, I have just had TCG bulk back in 30 or so days which given they have to cross the atlantic twice is exceptional.
My only minor gripe is in my last submission they ignored my submission list and put their own in, I have spotted 3 mistakes so far. This is a new thing they started doing but it’a backfired for niche products like raichu collecting.
