日本のマーケット部分 The Giant Japanese Market Thread

Absolutely yeah, like stores that “pregrade” their cards who I have bought from for 2 years now have terrible average condition on their best grade. Of course the collections they get in are more played, they just don’t grade them that way since you have to buy w/o pictures anyway. Indents are not shown in pics on yahoo, etc etc. Plus all the deceiving practices I already made a post about. I’m starting to buy more from eBay, since the prices are often the same and you have an easy way to make your case.

The real pro gamer move was trading 1st edition base for Japanese cards in 1999. REAL collectors would use a magazine to translate these super rare exotic cardboardz

English cards

  • Low quality card stock = more fun sending to PSA
  • Easily acquired by pushing kids out of the way at Target
  • Does collaborations with Leonhart - Advocate for mental health

Japanese cards

  • Ugly
  • Have to buy off Japanese website (what the hell is a Yen?)
  • Yet to do mental health collaboration - possibly pro-depression?

English on top :smiling_imp::smiling_imp::smiling_imp:

oddly enough like 50% of my childhood collection is japanese and I’m not fully sure why. I guess my older brother just got me japanese packs quite often.

Same. Our local card shop had tons of japanese packs, you always got a holo, and they were cheaper for our poor family. No brainer. I’ll always love japanese

One little bid at the end, moving it to 2,153,000 yen, or £14,882, $20,513 USD, €16,924. Plus the extra % to get it home.

Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing okay! Looking for some advice on japanese promo cards…is there some sort of list available which details every single promo?

I found think link:

www.elitefourum.com/t/japanese-promo-checklist/10655/1

However it hasnt been updated for a few years - understandable of course as people dont have time to do this as it may take long

Advice welcome :blush:
