This is very much the hardest to find, let alone mint, in my experience too - together of course with its 274/xy-p twin from the same release. They were very much due for a price correction, as they are also prize cards and part of a very popular line of promos. When the “common” 203/xy-p Pokemon Center Poncho Pika promos started selling for hundreds in psa 10, these prize cards in the same price range didn’t make any sense anymore. PSA 10 Pop 46/37 vs 553 after all.

Price is not that surprising. Plenty of pikas in the 1k+ club

None of those promos are gold enough so none make my top 3. My non gold 4th place is Pikachu 061/SM-P or Clefairy 381-SM-P

Pikachu 005/SM-P That snowman pikachu in the back is awesome also the pichu snowman in front(i think its pichu) is adorable. A good second is Pikachu 162/SM-P super cute as well.

Pikachu 20th anniversary festa xy-p with Arita’s signature. One of 2 cards with an artists signature on it. It’s much less talked about than the full art 20th anniversary pika card

Pokemon Center Japan site down to a single page of 40 in stock items for the category containing loose booster packs and booster boxes. Pretty amazing to see.

Remix bout Japanese booster boxes are going for $60-$70 each…based on the cards in the set that’s a hell of a deal in my opinion…last week JP dream league boxes were going for $60 each and that didn’t last very long

Maybe I’m just particularily salty right now, but does anyone else feels like the average quality/service of Japanese sellers has gone down within the last few months? I still have a handful of stellar Japanese sellers I’d basically entrust my life to, but it seems there is an increasing number that cancel orders, make misleading descriptions, take misleading pics.

I just had two sellers one right after the other cancel my order, sadly both for the same item I really really wanted.

Made the same experience on ebay recently. Ordered several sealed items from Japan (older ones) and 3/9 orders were never shipped. Two guys refunded me after contacting them a few times, they told me they´re sorry but they don´t have the product…after 2 weeks of waiting. The other guy never responded, had to open a case against him.

Same. I bought a Kanazawa box from a seller on 12/4. Estimated delivery date 1/26. Hasnt been shipped yet. Could be that they’re still waiting for the reprint but I may need to open a case soon due to fear of losing my money

Ordered mine in November and cancelled. Will just wait and hope now for a restock. Won’t be paying £400+ for one.

Hey Everyone,

Been really hard into the English trading cards the last 5 years and am thinking of expanding my collection into Japan. I got a couple questions.

When ordering from the Japanese Pokémon Center what website/add on do most people recommend?
Is there a way to change the Japanese Website to English but stay on their site(Don’t want to get brought to the USA /Canadian site.)

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hey, the easiest would probably be using Buyee and their Chrome extension: You just right-click any website and click “translate to English/whatever”, right there everything’s directly translated on the site. The extension then allows you to put any item you are currently viewing into your Buyee cart if the site is supported, which the Pokemon Center is.

Yep :slightly_frowning_face: noticed in over the past year as more money to be made. Prime example, ordered a set from a drop shipper (fine, expected it to be drop shipped and didn’t mind paying a premium to get) that was in completely different condition than pictured. One thing to drop ship a set, totally different to try and pass off a worse condition set as the same one! I received a partial refund but would have preferred to just have the set. And unfortunately this was the 2002 McDonald’s Set a month or two ago and prices have gone up since.

A lot of the Japanese sellers are listing on multiple platforms. If the YHJ auction goes for higher that is what they will go with and cancel other listings even if they have sold. Its a shitty practice.
