What do you guys think of cards like this Charizard, very low pop, sealed boosters almost impossible to find, unusual types, original artwork.

What do you Guys think about the Limited Collection Master Battle Set ?
I feel Like the promos alone are worth a lot more than the sealed Box.
I have 2 boxes myself so Im wondering if it was better to open them or keep them sealed ?
Bought 3 at release and would def recommend opening at least 1 box. Kind of sucks to just have some boring black boxes sitting there. Opened one of mine to get the promos graded for the collection.
As of now I just have the other 2 sealed, if I am selling them I’d probably open them. Send the cards to psa and sell the contents seems to be the best option to “maximize” value.
Similar to above - It doesn’t look very exciting sealed compared to say Mario Pikachu boxes or the Rocket Case. Grading the promos is is definitely the way to go

I recently discovered an interesting card, the Japanese dark persian promo from a 1997 magazine. This card has Giovanni very visible in the background as the card in non holo.
Pop report is very limited with only 12 psa 10. Do you think it is due to lack of popularity or real scarcity?
Also there is a large discrepancy between sealed and graded price. Is it a difficult card to grade due to original packaging?

As many other early japanese promotional cards this card has a really low pop report.
In my opinion this is mainly due to the fact that not only has this artwork been used in an english promo, but holographic too!
I think that most of the above mentioned promos have a low pop count both because they are niche and really tough to grade (some are almost impossible to find mint, for instance the glossy ones, and if you do they could get 8 for centering or the typical raised glossy borders); i don’t think this applies to this non glossy promo, rather this might be a case of low interest in the card.

Actually there is someone selling sealed magazine for 25$ on yahoo JP. Even with Low popularity I feel this is extremely cheap for a promo from 1997 !
Yeah I’m more looking for modern stuff at the moment, just something reasonably priced that I can rip open for the thrill of it. I’ll speak to him about 711 and PC (I didn’t realise there were multiple ones, then again now it seems glaringly obvious.) Thank you

people realizing how undervalued the japanese version is compared to the english one (particularly because it has a banned artwork too) ? also does anyone here using a ratio to determine if a japanese card is undervalued compared to the english equiv ?

I’ve graded prob close to 10 of them in the last month or so 
12 gengars come from multiple collection buys. One collection I had had around 8 of them
