I haven’t seen that many come up, but I’m also not actively looking for them. And they would require good pictures to spot them, which is not the norm these days.

Possibly it might sound poor as a rat (which is not entirely untrue lol), but its really a good price $14,000 for that card? Are there so few graded copies in existence?

I was curious and looked up pop reports. PSA total pop 94. BGS total pop shows 7. CGC total pop shows 14.
I think it’s important to note that the bulbapedia article mentions there were 576 participants, all of whom were rewarded the card as a participation prize. But given that we see only about 115 cards graded with the top 3 grading companies, and given the card is pretty old, I’m wondering if a lot of these copies have gone missing or destroyed over time. I’m sure many raw copies are being held by old collectors

Wouldn’t be surprised if there were a relatively large amount still in Japanese collector binders and such but I think we can safely assume half of these or more are lost to time

I just purchased a case of Vstar Universe and was wondering if the boxes normally have a pull tab and look like this on the bottom?
I pulled an SAR in the first box I opened. I just want to make sure everything’s legit as I’ve only opened up these boxes once or twice before and couldn’t find any pictures with the pull tabs. Thanks for any information you can provide!

Most of the printings of Vstar Universe didn’t have those pull tabs, but more recent printings do. At some point they started adding them to all boxes but I think it was in the middle of Vstar Universe’s print runs.

There are 10 authentic only as well, which is pretty common for these types of cards. People just want a copy in any condition because they are so rare. I actually have an authentic only of this card myself!

so the card is hovering around $20-30 and it just released.
Im assuming we didn’t get an english or any other language counterpart (?).
Considering it was given to anyone who pre ordered a copy of the game, its safe to say it will be available in the thousands, still an awesome looking promo.

Not announced yet, I suspect English will have a future release with the Bulbasaur & Squirtle Art Rares (from Special Deck Set ex Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise). This and AR Charmander are by the same artist, MINAMINAMI Take, so there’s a chance all four Kanto starters are
