As far as I know they only ever said “October” so I guess the answer was the day you got the notice lol. English is scheduled for 11/17

Anyone know how to price something like this?

I cant seem to find any sales data for it. My gut says that if theres no sales data & theres only a handful available for around the same price, it kinda just is what it is. But, with PSA 9s going for around $500, i was hoping the unpeeled would go for closer to $1000CAD than $2000CAD. Any kind of info would be helpful, thanks!!

Such an iconic card. The issue with this is just trying to find an unpeeled copy. Not to mention other versions of these cards which are also widely available. Since there is not data, in my personal opinion, the price is driven by the fact that the unpeeled copy is very hard to find, so I would be happy paying 500-600 USD for a copy if I found one. I would not pay more than that simply because I can just get a very mint peeled copy for a very affordable price.

For prices I’m not the guy tbch, even if it’s a Pikachu. I don’t keep track of value for cards I already own, not even my duplicates which I intend to sell (someday…). If someone asks me what a certain card is worth, I’d usually check recent eBay sold listings or active listings - which most people have already done themselves.

Prices change day by day, so if you have almost 15k unique cards + another 10k duplicates, it’s not possible to keep track of their current prices - not too forget it’s also hugely based on conditions; graded vs raw vs sealed; current supply & demand; etc.

I agree with @mrbubbles. I would not pay more than $500 USD for it unless it was absolutely crucial to my collection. Maybe set your cap at double the price of a PSA 9.

Also if you intend on peeling it off and grading it you would probably be better off buying an already graded copy. There’s a good chance it will be off center or have some other defect. If you want to buy it and keep it sealed then that’s another story. I will say as cool as this is at $500 it will probably not be very liquid at that price if you want to sell in the future so something to think about.

I have a copy with the appendix still attached to the magazine (I might even have a spare in storage). It’s a lovely piece for a Corocoro collection even if it’s just the appendix.

If you are creating an unpeeled collection then £500-£750 is reasonable for flying pikachu. If you peel it you would very much be looking at risking these marks:

I’m still chasing the only one I’m missing which is pikachu and jigglypuff unpeeled on the appendix. The last three I’ve watched have gone for £1800~

If this is the one on eBay I am thinking about then I would say it is listed quite high. Pikachu tax is real…

I have no intention of peeling it myself, or selling it in the future! I just think unpeeled promos/ sheets are awesome and wanted to look into picking up one for flying pikachu! The two i found listed on eBay are listed for $2000CAD

@livindavido thats so cool! I was thinking it would be so cool to find one still attached to the magazine, but finding the unpeeled flying pika at all was kinda tough, let alone with that extra layer! If youre ever wanting to get rid of your spare, dont hesitate to shoot me a pm

I was also looking into purchasing the WHF/ vending sheets, but ultimately thought id prefer to collect the cards first, then go for the sheet lol.

Those actually are some great deals! I dont rly know how to use mercari/ yahoo and have tried multiple times to figure it out but i always feel like im messing up searches and get overwhelmed

Unfortunately I am looking for unlimited and mirror, so the opposite of the Espeons. If the Espeons were unlimited and mirror, I would just take the risk and buy the lot hoping Umbreon is what I need it to be.
