The Giant eBay Garbage Thread

I have 14 feedback and 2 of them are neutral because one of my customers didn’t receive his package due to UPS tracking bug (also my first time doing combined shipping.) I don’t think I’ll be able to get those big sales if they limit it…

0 feedback buyers are the worst, but 0 feedback sellers are the best

You guys have terrible luck with messages, most of my messages are positive. I message people all the time, it infuriates me when people don’t respond.

Why is this so real…

They’re not trying to pinch every penny usually. Plus they usually have stuff from their childhood instead of stuff they just bought with intention to flip. Neither is a wrong way to sell but I’ve met a ton of 0 feedback sellers that I absolutely love over the years

It’s like a new business that opened for the very first time. Since it’s small and new, it always contains the nicest owners and people set out to bring a good experience.

The zero feedback sellers go 2 ways:

  • dilusional in pricing ($1,000 for a heavily played Eevee)
  • have no idea that cards rose in value and sell at 2003 or even 2015 pricing

You forgot the:

Absolute God of Kindness while Knowing What They’re Doing kinda way.

But its very rare.

I guess I don’t even notice the ones that know what they are doing out the gate.
My saved searches are filled with the $1,000 Jungle Eevee that is worth less than 50 cents

eBay is kinda like the Youtube of Business in a way.

I’ve met a few that were decently knowledgeable and easy to work with. It didn’t always mean getting half off. Sometimes it’s nice to just have access to things like base set 1st Ed cards NM-M raw which simply don’t exist outside of the people who’ve had it in their closet since 1999

I’m that guy 95% of the time. You can’t blame me though because I the 5% of the time I do ends up like the above example

I guess I’ve just gotten lucky, but then again my initial message doesn’t make me sound like I’ll be a pain to work with

Both 100$ or more under the listing price.

bahahah! Was already on my block list.

Often lately, I’m requesting pictures when their pics are garbage and getting, “Messages are a waste of time/If I get to it”… Always inspires confidence… But I swear I’m a cheap date! :weary:

That sentimental bs turns my stomach, nobody surely buys that nonsense ?

Rough. There’s a new segment of buyers that will just bid/put in offers and then decide after the fact whether they got a good enough deal. Honestly a cancer. Wish ebay would do something more to punish nonpayers

oof when are they getting fixed price tho  think ive gotten lucky with psa so far the only two things i sold thru them got paid :crossed_fingers:

Management thinks no earlier than December, maybe even later. They’re already swamped with all of the auctions and vaulting. Adding the fixed price listings would really overwhelm them.

I think they’re doing it the right way by incrementally growing the program rather than adding it all at once and seeing it suffer due to demand.
