The Giant eBay Garbage Thread

Don’t be a “sire buyer” guys. This is what they do. Very rude.

May I suggest you could have countered the 4k with $12,000?

Real question is…how they find out I’m inbred?

I thought this was impressively stupid

I mean, emseasqrd is the very ideal of perfection. Just look at that perfect jawline and complexion in his user avatar! Seems to me, you can’t get more perfect than to inbreed perfection.

Oh no, I thought that I saw this too. But no, this is a DIFFERENT one. Don’t let this be some weird trend.

call me a little imp if you want. I sensed something was off when I saw their logo, that listing and this banner on their store, and took the risk for the potential pay off.

It payed dividends quite handsomely.

I have no idea if this is even in iambic pentameter.

So what is this? Sellers can have AI reply to eBay messages now?

Let’s hope not. AI is garbage.

So, this would seem to fall into the same legal area as the auto-dealer AI that was tricked into giving cars away. Someone used prompt injection to get the thing to sell them cars at next to nothing. It was all legally clean and binding as well. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Brilliant.

“Don’t want to deal with messages? Have our E-bAy-i do it for you! It removes the hassle and gives away your profits at the same time!”

Does Vinted selling apply here to?

I’m a very patient seller, and almost never block someone. But this was too much even for me.

After lots of back and forth agreed on special discounted price for 2 cards. Asked to reserve them as they were waiting for another payment to clear on Vinted. Fine, I was willing to reserve.
Today “buyer” confirmed he would be getting the payment and buying the cards later in the evening.
Buyer buys the cards. Great! Not. He cancels the payment, claims he used the wrong payment method.
Ugh, fine. I re-list the cards, re-reserve the lot for him at his discounted price.
Then he asked to de-reserve the cards. I figured he would add extra cards to his bundle because he seemed interested in other cards as well.
Nope. Now he wants just one of the cards, and he offers me EVEN LESS than what we agreed on if it would be sold in a bundle of 2 cards. Told him I was getting fed up with it, that my patience was wearing out.
Then he went all “poor me” saying the payment never came through and it was “very important” that he got that card. Proceeded to lowball me even more after I generously offered another substantial discount.
BLOCKED

Luckily there are nice people that make selling more enjoyable:
