The Giant Deal Thread

hmm that looks like an awesome lot but do you see 3-4k worth in there?

I don’t know much about the newer cards, I wonder the condition of the Masaki and how many no rarity cards there are. Oh and those crystals!!!

also didn’t realise how many unopened packs there was

Rocket’s Eevee MISPRINT?

Fighting symbol looks bit like a sticker - you can see the darker edge on the left side of it…

Incredible price on Neo 4 Japanese packs IMO:

www.ebay.com/itm/Pokemon-NEO-4-Destiny-Japanese-Booster-Pack-Out-of-Print-/331403379382?pt=Trading_Card_Games_US&hash=item4d292e42b6

Man… I haven’t seen those pop on ebay for a while… it was only a few years ago these boxes we’re around… now they are gobbled up!

Also, does anyone know the spill rate for Japanese neo destiny shinings? it wouldn’t be the same as the English 2 per booster box. I.E roughly 1:16packs

For Japanese Neo Destiny (Neo 3) the pull rate was 1:30 packs. Neo 4, supposedly was 1:60. They were at a lower pull rate then the English variants and harder to get, however the Japanese did better with holos than the English variant. :stuck_out_tongue:

I heard a rumor of the 1:300 but it was said that it went with the idea of getting a Shining card for every 300 cards, not packs, so that’s consistent with the idea of getting 30 packs, full of ten cards, you had 1 card out of 30 packs of obtaining it.

Hmm… I read it somewhere in a Beckett magazine a long time ago on the original release of the Japanese and English variants, but I’m guessing they could be wrong, or I might be forgetful, or hell, I might be wrong!

At least we know for sure that the pull rates were much harder in the Japanese variants. I’m still skeptical of the idea that it was a 1:300 PACK chance. Just because someone didn’t get a Shining doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not untrue. I think every person here has experienced some terrible luck on different accounts.

I couldn’t find an official source either to say what it was. :slightly_frowning_face:

All this info makes me quite glad I just bought singles and didn’t try my luck at boosters

I WANT the E3 pack but I don’t want to pay over 280$ for it.

I normally feel strongly about not paying over a certain amount, but i recognize how rare these are getting and see the future proving to be extremely difficult if I waited. That’s why I paid a little more than this list price earlier in the year and went ahead and grabbed one.

Anyone that feels this could be a staple part of their collection, or that has a desire to finish a collection in any sort of a timely manner, I’d advise you to not feel bad about this price at all.

I wouldn’t urge anyone to buy one if they weren’t going to be happy with it. But no one should feel bad paying this price either.

I still feel awful for having given away the cards inside just last year.
