This unikarp that has edgewear ended at 19.6k usd… Was this payed?

Nah, it was 2 low feedback (japanese accounts) bidder bidding against each other up from 340k back and forth up to 2 mill. Know easily enough when negative feedback is left.

@prochaos , I was just about to post that. This seller has listed on eBay some incredible cards.

Apparently they now have both the ungraded Prochaos mention before an the PSA 7 graded listed on eBay too:
Ungraded: www.ebay.com/itm/Kangaskhan-Trophy-Parent-Child-Tournament-Promo-Card-Japan/124104948266
PSA 7: www.ebay.com/itm/Kangaskhan-Trophy-Parent-Child-Tournament-Promo-Card-Japan/124111982768

The ungraded seems to have some damage on the back on the most blurry picture.
Guess it will not get a 7 so might as wel go for that one if anyone is looking for a Khan.

Those 2 eBay links are from a flipper. They don’t own any of the cards they list. The ungraded copy is the same one from Yahoo JP.

Why not call it a scammer?

It’s a dodgy strategy, but if you get the card you paid for, how is it scamming?

Indeed both those links are just drop sellers trying to flip the card for a little profit. Risky but very common practise.

Its not scamming, the fact that the ebay links were attached and not the original auction links shows their ability to advertise to a wider audience and how unaware people are of japanese sites.

I was just showing the raw copy of the card that graded a 7 as well as showing the price big japanese stores are willing to pay.

That’s cheeky, I was not aware. My apologies for posting in that case.

Had that happen to me once when I send someone pictures of my Green wing Base set booster box.

Trophies would have been interesting if they were all personalized. It would have removed anonymity from someone selling on their trophy, however it would have also removed doubt on what were extra copies an what weren’t. I personally like knowing that I bought all the pika trophies I own from the winners direct and I can make that tie to their face/story.

Not saying they should do this going forward, nor that I am butt hurt about extra copies. It just would be interesting to know what effect that would have had from all the different aspects. Would value be higher due to less people willing to sell having no anonymity? Would value be lower due to the “personalization”? How would extra copies fare in this scenario or would they even see the light of day/ever have existed?

The battle roads trophies are like this and I would say in general the market doesn’t care much about the personalization on those

Luckily they are easily tracked with the cert numbers/Holo patterns.

An extra 2004 World Championships No. 1 Trainer from the one and only Pkonno.
