Anyway the mean is: when you read “El chapo” and pwcc and the accusations the problem of price go down for all cards on pwcc (onestly only karp fan about is save this auction and i think because all people know in ig the seller that post that auction every day).

Does anyone know if this is a legit World Champions Pack? Never actually seen a sealed one before. If so, what’s its estimated value?

Yes it is a legit WC Pack. Unlimited is much harder to find than 1st Ed but given it is unlimited, the demand will be much less.

I estimate around $100-$130 for a 1st ed as that is how much I paid for one. If you planned on opening a 1st ed, the chase cards are pretty much just the gold stars and Charizard. An unlimited however has the Charizard line, Pikachu and also the Gold Stars.

What happened to the listing for the illustrator???

Auction got cancelled and the seller got suspended. Two speculations on why but more likely the first option.

1. Seller could have gotten an outside offer via ‘send a question’ and accepted by ending the auction and was hence suspended by Yahoo Auctions, similar to how eBay will ban you if you accept an offer to deal outside the platform.

2. Maybe shill bidding? The top 2 bidders were zero feedback, new users hence the concern so YA took action.

The seller had deleted 1 buyout offer of 1.5mil so its def possible he was offered a better offer in person and the seller was either given personal contact info in the question and didnt answer so it wouldnt be made public or he deleted the question quickly after answering it quickly.

If you’re super serious, I have a cousin living in London who is visiting the US in two weeks. She might be willing to take the set back with her on the flight home and then ship from the UK. Would be expensive for you though cause of two middleman fees. You’d get to avoid VAT and customs charges though.
