Bought an Art Academy card from the illustrator formerly known as Lily-Chan. She asked what pokemon I’d like doodled as a thank you for my purchase. I thought of @pkmnflyingmaster and asked for Lopunny. Turns out it’s one of her favorite pokemon.

Although I havent played that generation, I really like that small collectionin which the pokemon share the artwork with their trainers, which it is a collection Im currently working on: cards with pokemon who appeared with their trainers friends. Eventually I will buy the cards I miis from that collection.

My godson’s birthday is coming up in little over a week and I’ve made a promise to myself to make a handdrawn birthday card every year until he hits 16. I’m very lucky to have this amazing kid as my godson as he’s into everything games and Pokémon related! I’ve decided to make an arch spanning across 4 years which will be purely Pokémon-themed. I actually picked up those cards in their Japanese variant over the past year sometime specifically for the artwork. They’re SO beautiful! (And it helps that they’re what, $40 in PSA 10?)
Posting this because it’s my favorite Sun & Moon art by far. I picked one up when they came out, and I look forward to picking up the N alternate art as well. Can’t wait for the English release, too!
