Summer & Fall Goldin Elite Auction Block

I do want a cosmos test holo Chansey eventually but in the meantime I thankfully already have the best cosmos holo Chansey :nail_care:

Chansey uses Astral Projection . . . it’s Super Effective!

It’s pretty insane that the sheet was bought, cut, authenticated, graded, and listed for auction within a few months. :astonished:

Money printer go brrrr

I hope the prices are reasonable but not sure it’s gonna be the case

Seeing that Base Set 2 is effectively the same thing, I hope that the prices appropriately reflect that. But who knows. There are a lot of Gen 1 species collectors that may need this very niche test print in their collection.

How is manually cutting it allowed in the grading? why do psa/cgc still authenticate it if its been altered?

PSA doesn’t grade hand cut cards. They are the most strict on aftermarket cuts as well. BGS is second in that regard, and CGC will grade anything.

I agree and think they should go quite a bit lower than the disco holos from a common sense perspective. But also these are the first at auction so prices may get weird

Yep, @smpratte is right. As long as CGC can holder something and authenticate it, they’ll grade just about anything.

Some people detest cutting sheets and selling individual cards while others don’t mind it at all. It’s all a personal preference. But when there is money to be made, sheets will get cut, graded, and sold.

Exactly. Anything first to auction is going to be a bit crazy.

A lot of risk for both buyer and seller on the first auctions of these cosmos holos. There could be another 5 blocks like this in the near future

That’s exactly right. High risk, high reward with these niche cards.

Can confirm a Gyarados was done this weekend. But yeah, that Zard on auction looks ass. I doubt he would be that sloppy with colouring it in, or maybe this was one to deter others?

Are those store stickers all over the JP boxes? I want them but I don’t think I could personally spend any reasonable amount of money to have a massive sticker like that on the product.

Wild this is this high

Its a signed first edition charizard that up to 7.5k right now. Whats wild about that?

The not so great attempt to color it with a sharpie or pen.

it’s not a very clean job, but it still likely adds value over a simple signature/sketch combo.

Not if it wasn’t done by the artist themself

Exactly!

I assumed anyone faking it would’ve done a better job lol.
