Yeah, I have a feeling I’m not getting any deals on this auction haha
There is no chance in hell that scribbled on charizard goes for more than a standard auto + sketch, even if it was done by the artist… right…? It looks terrible
You have to reset your place in line at the booth over and over again to get a shiny zard auto.
As the auction also includes booster cases: Does anyone have experience with these, purchased one or owns one? I only recall this fake case some youtuber bought. Also, the case has been opened (by Goldin maybe) but not the boxes. Any thoughts?
That insane trophy in a PSA 10 will go straight into the top Pokemon sales of all time
Anybody going for anything tonight?
The cosmos base raichu has gone above what I would pay for what i gather is a self cut card.
Was tempted to try for the alolan raichu art piece but the auction doesn’t mention that the original seller put a sticker over their name to hide it.
These cards are just very expensive Base Set 2 holos without the set symbol. I understand the historical value, but the uniqueness is substantially lessened because we had Base Set 2. This type of uncut sheet/cut cards for Jungle or Fossil would make me go crazy, though.
Same boat as you. Sad as I still would like the cosmos Raichu. I wonder what it will end at
i may or may not have spent way too much money on these master sets
Cosmos is so much better than galaxy.
Didn’t realize that we had something to thank Base Set 2 for.
I’m sure it’s an unpopular opinion but galaxy is a terrible foil because of how dull it is.
Good to see a proce difference in the pikas. Grade matters at all levels of cards
I used to think so too, but if you look closely and tilt the card while you’re looking it has a kind of 3D effect. It almost feels like you’re getting a glimpse into another world, and like you’re looking inside the card.
I missed out on my Dutch Charizard yet again.
disco holo is the best /s
I’ve never understood the “grade is irrelevant because the card is so rare” argument. The scarcity makes the high grade even more desirable. You can see this with baseball cards, comic books etc. But from a collecting standpoint I’m sure most of us would be happy to own a Pika in any grade.
Its just the case of porque no los dos. From a market perspective, higher grade most likely yields higher price. From a collector perspective, owning any copy of any trophy card is an achievement, which is where the “grade is irrelevant” sentiment originated. Both are true.
Also when that was initially stated, it was more true for the market as well. When I graded a lot of my original trophy cards, the grade added little to no value.
What master set did you grab if you don’t mind me asking?
Some SWSH master sets and some of the neo master sets
Question for those who have bought on goldin, has anyone shipped to the psa vault from there?
Im debating to save on taxes and just withdraw at a later date from the vault to home. I emailed support but they haven’t answered, since i want to ship from the goldin site to psa vault, but my sets have ungraded cards.
Will they accept it at the vault or reject it because the goldin auction lot has ungraded cards? (their terms state only graded cards can be submitted to the psa vault)
