Really confused by this opinion though, Pikachu and Bidoof versions are solidly holding at around $100 and $200 each (respectively), and this one is Charizard so you know it’s gonna hold value. Plus the fact that the window to get a code was shortened because of availability, gonna be high demand.
If this is similar supply to the Pikachu, I agree with @Quuador. Since people have mentioned they will hand out codes for weeks, I am curious to see if there will be more than pikachu. That is the only way its going sub $100. You need closer to Illustration charizard quantity.
i got my cousin to sign up too bc if u try to pull any of this same address, same email, even same credit card business in the sneaker game, they’ll cancel ur orders straight up. hoping one of us gets a code, both would be great. seeing them go for 400-500 usd has made it very clear that if i get one, i will be selling it and using that money to buy something else like a mew ex play or smth. bonkers.
Bidoof went over $100 right after mass release. It will be interesting to see where this one sits around the same time. Then also, this is post-rona-craze. I’m thinking eh BINs will increase as this goes up.
I got the code on the 29th so my order of the Trainer Red and Blue canvas arts along with my Charizard card should be arriving Tuesday. Surprised all three have been shipped separately hopefully my card doesn’t arrive damaged.
Just for some reassurance to those who have yet to receive a code. This can be found on their FAQ page in regards to the current promotion. Seems they should be rolling codes out at various times over the 12 week period or at the very least, not all in one bunch.
Wow, already got my charizard. The card looks great in person. Even though it’s sealed it has some holo scratches next to the swirl on the right. Now to decide if I should sell or keep. Hoping to get another next wave.
Sell now because the price will inevitably drop as more waves are sent out. Theres been what, 2? waves of codes. (i would keep it but now is best time to sell)
Any data or observations on whether they are going by lottery, or if they are using a first-in first-out method for code distribution? I’m hoping if it’s the former, it means everyone will get a shot. If the latter, some of us will have to wait a while…
This is just anecdotal, but out of my own friend group the only person who has gotten a code so far was also the first of us to submit their info on the website. That said, they were first by like less than 10 minutes, but who knows how many people submitted in that time frame since it was near when it launched.
I saw the postings about the online submission right away, and immediately signed up. I was in the first wave of getting a code, so maybe it is going in order of signing up.
Mine arrived with a really bad knick in the top corner, its a shame because its a great card allround. To be expected when they are just thrown in a box with whatever else you ordered though
Got mine today as well! The card is amazing. I plan on keeping mine, but am debating if I want to keep it sealed or grade it to add to my graded collection. What does everyone else plan to do with theirs?
