So my store picked up a bunch of old Pokémon tcg stuff

oh cool, I can’t seem to find the words they use on ebay to find the gold strip ones, or maybe there aren’t any recent sold listings for them…

They’re quite rare, they’re literally known as ‘gold strip’ decks

I’d be interested in some of these things, especially the Box and the mentioned Brushfire Deck. Nostalgia is hitting me again and I want one xD.

Does that mean this guy listed his way to cheap?

I’d buy them at that price all day

I have a question concerning these theme decks. Aren’t all holos damaged/stained from the glue or some can still be intact after all this time?

he answered that above

I don’t see the answer. I’m talking about condition of the card, he was referring to the No Damage Error.

Edit: Sorry, I scrolled up and saw his other posts. Don’t mind this n00b.

I think you’re pretty much guaranteed a $50 PSA 8 Ninetales, or a $100 9(ST). Then add $100-200 worth of fresh Shadowless bulk. I wouldn’t value this as high as $700-1000, but a high roller might take that gamble.

Apparently I need to get this box verified, where would be the best place to do that?

verified to contain shadowless packs? if you could press down slightly on the flap of the box and take a picture that shows that pack design we would be able to help

I need a company to verify that it’s a legit box

He asked PWCC and said they wanted the box graded but I figured they misunderstood since they generally only do graded cards. Not sure if they take boxes and if they do what verification is required to list it.

What he said was “A booster box would be considered unopened wax and subject to the 2nd rate chart” the second rate chart has this line “Unopened wax, cello, rack packs/boxes must be authenticated by a reputable 3rd party or factory sealed by the manufacturer. PWCC recommends Baseball Card Exchange (BBCE) for all unopened material” I think I misinterpreted “authenticated” as graded.

I’ve seen PWCC sell 86/87 fleer boxes which have been authenticated by third parties, as far as I know its never been done on a Pokemon box.

why don’t you just do what I mentioned above and sell it yourself?

My store doesn’t have an ebay account, and selling such an expensive item with no previous sales would be tricky, but we’re considering it

Either way, yourself or a consignment company will need to provide proof that the packs inside are shadowless if you want top dollar

So pwcc looks like they are listing pokemon booster boxes in their next auction:

PWCCSo the precedence has been set. Maybe you should send them an email asking what needed to be done to get those boxes listed?

That,s interesting.

The thing is.. how do you even verify a Shadowless box? Are the cards even guaranteed Shadowless even if you check through the flap and see Shadowless artwork? I doubt pwcc would even dare listing the box as Shadowless. They’d most likely mark it as Green Wing Base set or whatever.
