Slightly warped holofoils

First time poster here. If some veterans in the hobby could comment it would be appreciated. (Looking at you Gary from pawn stars :+1: or the man himself S…M…pratte) I found many base set shadowless holos that were opened at the card shop and sleeved immediately. Bought what amounted to a booster box that day as a kid and as soon as I got home I put them in storage in for 20 years never to look at them again until the other week. However, the cards were slightly warped and I’ve been pressing them between books ever since. Only a slight curvature remains on each card. My questions to those who may know are will they eventually become straight again with time in between the semi rigids I put them in, and if not, how does psa view cards with a slight curve to them during grading? There is no holo scratching, nicks, good centering, full gloss and rich color since the day they were opened. I’m looking for tens here.

Enjoy the conversations that are had here. And smpratte’s YouTube channel really is the best most informative pokemon channel on YouTube hands down. Thanks to any for taking the time to help me.

Welcome

How severe is the bend? 1/4” rise on a flat surface, or more? Most natural bends will fade gradually if left in a flattened state for some time. If less than 1/4" then they may be passable with PSA.

I venture a guess at what Gary would do to take care of them, since he mentioned the old school way years ago

Thanks for the warm welcome:+1::eyes:. Warps are ever so slight now. I’m embarrassed I don’t know how to upload a photo here. I’d like you to see a few examples.

This same question gets asked 5 times each week. There’s a search bar for a reason

Downloaded tapatalk it’s not letting upload any pictures.

That curve normally doesn’t affect the grade. If it’s right between grades the grader could use that curve as a “tiebreaker” though.

Thanks Gary. I’ll try what you did with your gold star charizard. Hoping it doesn’t take me years to completely straighten.
