Buckled cards

Some of my cards are slightly bent, like if you lay them on a table the outer long edges are not laying flat but slightly raised. Can that be corrected? Will it affect any PSA grading?
Thanks

I am not an expert but I have heard that PSA does not count off points for slightly warped cards. One of the ways you can fix this is by putting them into a top loader or card saver (penny-sleeved of course). That being said, I think this is a really good question and I’d be interested to see other people’s responses.

I graded a error Vileplume that came out a pack with a bow to it. Pulled a 10, the Victreebell that wasn’t bowed got a 9 :man_shrugging:

PSA does not downgrade it if it’s slightly warped since this will happen automatically over time to most holo cards. Also, it will automatically straighten out again when they put it in the case.

Are any of your cards holo’s? One of the common traits I’ve noticed with older WOTC holos is over time they will start to bow. In my experience with PSA, none of my holos grades have been affected for having a bow in them. Not sure if my story relates, but I tried my best to answer!

Thanks for response. Some of the cards are Holo. It is curious that I sleeved my cards and put them in a binder probably 20 years ago.
I am reorganizing my collection and I’m finding out that Some of the soft penny sleeves had wrinkled in the binder pocket and caused some of the the bending. However the harder sleeves have stood time really well and lucky for me I had my better cards in harder sleeves and pulled a few out and they are awesome.
For me, I’m spending the extra buck for the harder ones and redoing everything.
Hope this helps, if you have nice cards…spend the money for better sleeves before you put them in the binder

This lesson was 20 years in the making.
Your response was really helpful.
Me and my bent Lapras thank you.
