Oh yeah, 100% agree on that. Honestly, I think that’s what tanked their reputation because their work before SM wasn’t bad at all. But when you have an entire era of that single colour background done by them, yeah it’s over. It’s a shame because they made the M Charizard EX Full art and that’s what hooked me back in haha so I’m definitely partial to them.
The 4 from these sets look pretty normal too. I don’t think anyone would call them bad

NGL I got pretty tilted at the end of the tundra DLC because they force you to catch a horse to continue, and I really really didn’t want to

Ugh 4 Tyranitar in 1 set now to grade…
As a player this set makes me excited because it’ll drastically shake up the meta. Tag Teams lose a lot of power and Corviknight is the defensive archetype I’ve wanted for a while.
As a collector, though, nothing grabs my attention outside of the alt art Tyranitar and Empoleon.
How could you ever get tired of ADP and Zacian decks with the occasional lucario and melmetal?

Nothing relaxes me more than hopping on PTCGO after a long day at work and getting Altered Creation’d seven matches in a row haha.
That’s why I’ll be playing the Cramorant VMAX coin-flipping deck until Battle Styles comes out.
Looks interesting but I’m getting tired of the whole pre-order thing, especially after so many botched preorders by LGS.
Had some great luck with packs lately, struck gold twice in two prerelease kits this time.
This set also has some incredible art on the commons/uncommons. Maybe some of the best ever?
