I’m waiting for them beautiful full arts, I keep hoping for leaks ahead of time but PokeGuardian saying next Wednesday? So I guess that’s when we’ll get them latest.
Wow there’s some nice artwork in this set. Here I thought I could get away with just buying Shining Fates during 2021 Q1. Now you’re telling me I might miss out if I skip Battle Styles. Thanks a lot TPCI!
SR/UR/HR cards will be usually listed on Japanese auction sites 2 days before the set releases, so Japanese stores/sellers most likely recieve it on Wednesday late morning/afternoon.
It does not happen alot a Japanese set leaks out on Monday or Tuesday. So far during SWSH, it always has been consistent.
There is some consistency to these reveals.
I don’t know fully for sure how it is in Japan, but for stores here in my country where I worked at a multimedia store in the past, freight delivery were usually delivered/expected on a specific day here. I think something similar is the same for Japan. It’s something I should ask someday…
Thanks for the info. I blanked and said earlier that they were releasing on Wednesday in a reply to @arkhive, my bad there. Regardless I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the cards.
I have seen a few different opinions on the Tyranitar artwork. In the Pignite illustration, he is clearly recovering from/midway through his big snack:
But in the Tyranitar artwork, Pignite is hiding somewhat sheepishly behind the tree. Do you think he is regretting haven eaten so much, or is he hiding because the scary T-Tar came and ate everything??
This artwork should still have come from an illustrator, despite being copy-pasted from the games, though. So I do agree it’s a bit weird that it simply states CREATURES Inc. in general, instead of the actual illustrator. The Lorelei portion of this Misty & Lorelei card for example is also from one of the games (“Art from Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!”), but that card still has an illustrator (Megumi Mizutani).
Good spot, seems like they use the design from the games.
Semi-Interestingly, the Phoebe’s Stadium that released in EX Power Keepers used a different design, but also showed a similar illustration of Phoebe. It’s def cool seeing art based on the games though.
