Got this beat up but still presentable zard a few years ago very cheap locally. When im down on being out priced in my goals i think of this card and remember there are still deals out there to be had.
Narrowing it down to a single card is tough, but if I had to choose out of my current collection, it would probably be this one, just because I love the little frog next to Oddish
Been meaning to make a post to update my deck collection but this retail promotional kit for when pokemon went beyond Japan and US. Never thought Id own one and took about a year to work out the details so its definitely my favorite thing owned currently.
Easily Unikarp, I had few opportunities to get one before 2020 market boom but I didn’t. Paid big bucks for it but I couldn’t be happier and this one will stay with even if I ever decide to stop collecting.
Even though I own over 13k+ unique cards, I choose this one because it represents my Pikachu collection quite a bit, and therefore me as a collector as well. It may not be an officially released card, and therefore more a bonus than necessity to my Pikachu collection goal, it’s still a very special card. Only two copies of this Matchprint Pikachu exist, of which I’m pleased to own one. I also really like learning about Sample/prototype cards in general, since there aren’t too many of those for the Pokémon TCG. And an additional bonus: the Expedition Base Set artwork is among my favorite Pikachu TCG artworks.
this are indeed so cool! I want to do the same with the illustration they are made for the online exhibition, would be so sick but there not going to be printed
These are probably my 2 favourite and not necessarily most valuable cards in my collection in terms of prices, but for sentimental and enjoyment purposes. They’re both really special to me. The Base Set Squirtle is probably my favourite overall Base Set card, and it was always my favourite starter in the games. Never had a 1st Edition copy as a kid, so cool to have many years later.
The Magic card is one I won so many games with back when I played Magic as a kid, and it was my favourite creature in my white decks. Super powerful for it’s time and ultimately one of the best MTG artworks I’ve seen. Near impossible to find in a 9.5 or higher grade in foil version. I like to remind people these were 1 foil rare per booster box out of a 350 card set, and very few were preserved for grading purposes.
This is a card that is incredibly difficult to replicate. Blastoise is one of my favorite Pokemon, signed by Sugimori, and its in Mint condition! I received this card over a decade ago. It fits the thread perfectly, as there are plenty of cards that are extremely nostalgic, but this one definitely pleases me, as its a once in a lifetime opportunity.
