The Shadowless PSA 9 Charizard holo is at $2,075 with a day left to go. I have attached the link below. What do you guys think is the ceiling for this card, as well as other Shadowless PSA 9 Holos over the next 1-2 years?
Itās a very good looking copy with great centering and nice back border. We donāt know much about the holo foil surface tho but people are willing to pay a premium for good looking copies I guess.
Shadowless holos in 8/9/10 imo will see good growth over the years as they are as rare and scarcer than its 1st edition brother. The color is more rich and vibrant and that shadowless image box is sexy as hell.
With more copies being held than sold, the market will eventually dry up with available copies. Buyers that are looking for the original Shadowless base set will have to pay a premium when another comes to auction.
Yeah, that shadowless zard is a very solid 9, potential 10! That partially why the price is pretty high! Also agree with what @chok said about the quality and future of the shadowless Zard!
Itās calculated risk though. Itās going to be worth the purchase cost in a few months even if it doesnāt grade 9.5 or 10.
Some people like to gamble. In this case itās worth it. A solid BGS quad 9.5 is probably $10,000 right now.
To answer the OP, the 9s are definitely on the riseā¦ Thereās very high demand. Youāll probably be looking at the current 1st ed prices a couple years from now.
I bid $270 on a Raichu couple days ago and thought that was crazy as thereās no sales data over $200 that I can see, but I still lost the auction.
I was most surprisedā¦ I just didnāt want to lose it by $2.50-5, which I still did anyway. I guess Iāll just settle on the PSA 8 I ordered, until the next opportunity for a 9. Hopefully cheaper.
Iām feeling a deep sense of deja vu as well, will the shadowless 6-8 Zards follow the same price trends as the 1st 6-8s? Most have already doubled this year as well. Will you be paying more than $1k for them like the 1sts in a few months? I really donāt see the shadowless 9s being less than $3k by the middle of next yearā¦
The bidder must understand āthe buy the card not the gradeā mentality. Thatās a fine looking card. I honestly think 2k is a bit low considering itās a BGS 9.5 candidate
Exactly, I see nothing wrong with it. That one that was just linked at $1495 was quiteā¦ rough. So if thatās worth $1500 that other one is definitely $2-3k all day.
Did some of you see how much BGS 9.5 go for? Even a āweakā one with a 9 centering subgrade sold for $3500 a couple weeks ago.
Thereās such a large gap between 9s and 10s(condition and valuewise) on these cards that this will be the norm. I also think in many cases the people buying these are collectors, so itās not even for flipping/regrading.
Itās not overpayingā¦ unless I see someone drop $10k on a 9. lol
it is a bit crazy lately. with 1st ed charizard PSA 9 at 6k+, 8 at 4k?, and 7 at 2k? I think the shadowless charizard will continue to see some push till the end of 2017. I am willing to bet we will see a sale of the PSA 9 shadowless above 3k by year end.
Strong shadowless Charizard PSA 9 ended at $2.6k. I can have my opinions so Iām saying that itās overpriced at this stage. I was expecting the auction to end at $1.9k when it was listed but I guess we are in the $2k zone now.
For those who want a copy but hesitated on getting one, know that I let a PSA 9 1st edition base zard go for $1800 in February because I wanted it cheaper. I still donāt own a copy today. Donāt be me. Itās still not too late.
Ouchā¦ Yeah Iāve been doing collecting only for 2 months and Iāve done this mistake on a few cards already.
Thankfully, I bought a Shadowless 8 and 9 for about $1500 total less than a month ago. When it comes to 1st Ed I donāt know what kind of grade Iāll have to settle onā¦ lol
